We'll start by meeting at **Arizmendi Bakery** to grab coffee and pastries before heading out together for a walk to the top of Bernal Heights Park. The hike is short but rewarding, with panoramic views of San Francisco and the Bay Area. **Notes:** * Please arrive on time so we can leave together after meeting at the bakery. Coffee Talk at Chase’s

Everyone’s been bringing such great beans to share that I'd like to have people over to brew them at my place. Bring your favorite brewer and some beans and I’ll provide hot water and a grinder (if you need). We can experiment with different variables like water chemistry to determine how it affects flavor (or just enjoy the coffee with one water). I just want people to get to try different coffees. Since this will be around lunch time, I'm also happy to order some food if people are in for it! If you’d rather just taste coffee and head out, that’s fine as well. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Sketching at CoRo Cofee Room (Cafe Art Circle - East Bay) Cafe sketching at CoRo Coffee Room in Berkeley. 📍 **1:30pm Meet inside.** Look for us with sketchbooks. 🎨 Bring your own art supplies. Roam freely. Sketch what you see. ☕ Pull up a chair anytime to draw with us and talk art. 📓 3:15pm. We wrap things up with a show & tell throwdown. We explore coffee and tea shops around the Bay Area, using sketching as a way to experience the atmosphere of each place and its neighborhood. Established in 2015, CoRo (short for Bay Area CoRoasters) is a collaborative roasting space for more than 20 independent local coffee companies. From the Coffee Room, large windows look directly into the roastery, giving us a chance to sketch both the cafe and some of the craft magic happening behind the scenes. Cafe Social

**Friends** Please read carefully as there is new info here. This event meets 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month. **This week we are meeting at Espresso Roma Cafe in Berkeley. There are a few picnic tables on the side of the cafe that can accommodate about 24 people. When facing the cafe they are on the left side in the grassy area. We may meet there or at the long tables under the canopy depending upon availability. For new attendees we will have a balloon on the table to identify our group. We hope new people will become regulars to this social group, Do not attend if you are on the waitlist as this is causing the crowd to get too large. Sign up early as seating is limited at the cafe. If you show up and are not on the going list you will be asked to leave or sit somewhere else. Three no shows will get you removed from the group so please change your RSVP if you cannot make it and give someone on the waitlist a chance to come. Please don’t do this at the last minute unless it’s an emergency. We will initially allow 10 members on the going list and then we will be adding people from the waitlist balancing out the event by gender. We will be posting the coffee meetups month by month to give more of the newcomers a chance to sign up and get a spot. Take Time to Write at Cafenated Coffee

Let's meet up to write on Sunday at Cafenated Coffee on Vine Street in Berkeley. Anyone who writes is welcome! We'll be inside of the cafe, and I'll have a sign saying "Take Time to Write". We'll write in two 50-minute blocks, with breaks in between and after. Come find us between 10 and 10:30 to get set up in time for our first one at 10:30. Schedule: 10:00 - arrive, get drinks, chat 10:30 - Focused writing block 11:30 - End. (This is the time that we need to vacate to make space for other customers of the cafe) About the location: There will be wifi and some (limited) outlets. We'll be indoors, but they typically leaves the doors open so that the space is well-ventilated. The casual restaurant offers coffee, tea, bottled drinks, and a wide range cooked food. Please buy something to support them! About the group: Anyone who writes is welcome -- novelists, playwrights, academics, journalers. This isn't a critique group, and there's no pressure to share your work. We're here for camaraderie, moral support, and friendly peer pressure, so you can focus on taking time to do what you love to do. This meetup is for people who want to write! Bike: For those north (in Albany or El Cerrito) you can also take the bike path directly to the park!

There’s a $20 deposit via Venmo to secure your seat—fully refunded when you show up, or if you cancel at least 24 hours ahead.
