Join the Yerba Buena chapter of the California Native Plant Society and SF Recreation and Parks’ Natural Resources Division for their weekly Wednesday habitat restoration project. Explore the biological diversity of San Francisco’s second largest park. The serpentine grasslands on this hill hide gorgeous blooming native irises, buckwheat and sun cups. Everyone 12 years and older is invited. A variety of volunteer tasks is available, at times on steep slopes. Please wear closed-toed shoes and dress in appropriate clothing for physical work. Let's meet at the Exploratorium in SF for a fun science morning near the beautiful SF coast. Herb, who's a member of this meetup and long time volunteer at the Exploratorium, will be our wonderful guide!! We'll then walk to the nearby Ferry building for lunch. We plan on taking the Bart from Milbrae to Embarcadero and vice versa for the return. carpool from Milbrae to San Carlos is possible, let us know!
