Back by popular demand, join us for a fun filled day of Grass Volleyball at Bushrod Park. Bump, set, spike is encouraged, but all levels are welcome! I'll bring the net and vollebyall(s), you bring the energy and fun attitude. You'll find us set up between the 2 baseball / kickball fields near Racine. Meetup: Make-Your-Own Animal Rescue Kit

Have you ever found an animal in need and not had anything with you to be able to help them? Having an animal rescue kit can be incredibly useful for emergencies. At this event you will get to assemble your own rescue kit with all the essential materials you’ll need to help animals you may come across. Nicole and Rhita, two incredible wildlife rescue volunteers with Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue, will be teaching us about what to do and what not to do if we find an animal, and what each item in the kit is most useful for. All materials for the kits will be provided and we ask for a suggested sliding scale donation of $10-$20 per kit and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue. Bocce Ball Bonanza!

No walk today unless we want to do one late in the evening. It's Bocce Ball Bonanza! We will meet at the Bocce Courts at Joe DiMaggio Park in North Beach. 1 of our members has Bocce Ball equipment that they will bring, We may also try to get some Pétanque equipment. Bocce Ball is Italian in origin and Pétanque is the French version. So maybe we can have some friendly competition; Italy vs France! Please bring food and drink to share. Bring a cup or prepare to purchase one. I looked into reserving the Bocce courts, but can't figure out out how to do that, but the word is that no one is ever there in the evenings. So we should be good, but there are no guarantees. Also can anyone can bring camping lantern(s) because the courts are not lit. Hope to see you there! Please note: Phone help is not available for latecomers. If you are late it is very hard to catch up with us. We walk at a medium pace. Escorts or sweeps are not provided, so slower walkers should be completely prepared to finish the hike on their own if they become separated from the group, and they may want to consider bringing a friend to walk with them.
