Buena Vista Park & Sutro Mountain Hike (Haight Street Fair) Dogs welcome

**This San Francisco Urban Hike starts in the Duboce neighborhood and Park and will move up to Buena Vista Park with views of the bay the ocean and the bridge then we’ll go through Haight Street** **(Haight street fair)** **in the and the Haight-Ashbury district, with bazaar hippie stores, collection of retro clothes stores. The Haight is one of the few neighborhoods that was not hit hard by the 1906 earthquake. As a result, it has the highest concentration of still-intact Victorian homes in the city. We then make a way up to Sutro Mountain Home of Sutro Tower. Urban Hikers' 14th Anniversary Picnic!

It's time to celebrate 14 Years! Just once a year, we skip the Urban Hiking and get right down to the Happy Hour with an Urban Hikers' Picnic! Let's celebrate the 14th anniversary of this great group with a Sunday late afternoon picnic at Francisco Park. Please bring food and drink and utensils to share. Please note that barbecuing is not allowed at the park. Please state what you are bringing in the comments when RSVPing. Some of us should also bring some cups, plates, napkins and utensils. You may want to bring a chair or something to sit on and items to place food on. The tables may not be available and if so, we will gather on the grass and/or concrete wall. If anyone can get there early to save a space or claims a table or 2, let us know. If anyone can bring a table, let us know. Hope to see you there! Pastries, Cliffs & Ocean Views: SF Urban Hike

Join us for a relaxed San Francisco urban hike combining neighborhood streets, coastal trails, historic sites, and big Pacific Ocean views. We'll kick things off at Butter Love Bakeshop in the Outer Richmond, where we'll grab some baked goods and coffee before setting off (we'll wait until 9:45am for any late arrivals). From there, we'll walk toward Sutro Heights and make our way through the Land's End area, after which we'll finish by walking toward Sunset Dunes for the final stretch along San Francisco's oceanfront. This is a casual-paced hike. We'll take our time, enjoy the scenery, stop for photos, and give everyone a chance to chat and take in the views. (Dogs are totally welcome!) Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park Hike 6.5 Miles

Join other east bay millennials for a \~6.5 mile hike with \~1000 ft elevation gain in Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park. Location of the hike will be visible to attendees upon RSVP. Dogs are very much welcomed to join! Please arrive a few minutes before 12:00PM. We will start the hike shortly after 12:00PM. We'll do our best to hike as a group, but I'd recommend downloading an offline map of the area on Google Maps on your phone just in case you happen to get separated.

Please only attend this event if you feel like you are in shape to walk 6.5 miles with hills. If you have any health conditions that prevent you from exercising, this might not be the best event for you.

San Bruno Mountain Summit w/New England Lobster Market and Eatery

Please note the 9:30 start time to accommodate the longer than usual drive. Imagine yourself, bursting with pride as you take off from SFO, and announce to your fellow passengers “I hiked that mountain on the left” Looming large over San Francisco and the northern peninsula, the wilderness preserve of San Bruno Mountain State and County park is home to several rare and endangered species of flora, fauna and wildlife, including the elfin butterfly. The San Bruno Mountain Summit Loop and Ridge Trail offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, San Francisco and the Central Bay Area. It can be windy so bring an extra layer. The Ridge Trail is unshaded, so sunscreen and hats are a good idea. Paid parking ($6) is available inside the State Park entrance off Guadalupe Canyon Parkway. There are restrooms at the parking lot. The Summit Loop Trail can be overgrown so best to wear pants. We will hike about 7.7 miles and 1331' of elevation gain, of this trail. Claremont Canyon Hike (Dogs welcome)

**In the Claremont Canyon Regional Perserve, part of the Eastbay regional park. Behind the historic Claremont Hotel is a 208-acre preserve with picturesque hiking trails. The Stonewall-Panoramic Trail is the primary trail, with the best views in the Berkeley Hills that include Downtown Berkeley, Downtown Oakland, and the San Francisco Bay. A steep climb uphill, but amazing views of the Golden Gate, Bay Bridge, Berkeley and Oakland and a lovely 360 views at the top. Do make sure you take in the full panoramic view, not just the golden gate. Lyon & Baker Beach Stairs Hike (Dogs Welcome)

Near and Inside the Presidio Golden Gate National Recreation Area, we are going up several sets of historic and scenic staircases. We will enjoy the 'Wave Organ', an acoustic sculpture on the jetty in the San Francisco Bay. Working our way along the edge of the Presidio past the lovely and majestic palace of fine arts, we head up the steep and busy Lyon staircase to panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay. We enter the presidio and take the Mountain Trail where we have lush green and views on one side and million dollar mansions on the other. 1st Half of SF Crosstown Trail, 7 miles, 1200’ elevation gain, MODERATE++

Midweek Quad 4 Hike: Steep Ravine from Pantoll

4.3 miles / 1300 ft elevation gain Moderate but steady pace, about 2 mph No one left behind The hike will descend steeply through redwood forests beside a creek, and emerge from the woods with nice viewpoints of the waterfront, visibility permitting. We then have a challenging sustained (relentless) ascent, with lots of steps. One of the more beautiful forested hikes on the mountain. Steep Ravine is one of the 4 hikes of the Pantoll Quad program. This hike will be led by Docent Debra Hoitomt. Hike docents have been trained under the California State Parks Volunteers In the Park Program (VIPP).
