Join us for a fun day of improv games! This is a free, beginner-friendly jam session (not a formal class). It’s our second get-together game day led by the same host Talia - last time we had a blast! Nobody is forced to participate but highly encouraged to jump in and play. **What to expect:** * Improv - short for improvisational theater - is a form of live performance where characters, dialogue, and scenes are created in the moment. * We’ll have a mix of warm-up games, learn about character development, physical comedy, and storytelling. * Depending on audience participation, we’re planning about an 1.5-2 hour session. **Where and when:** * Sunday, May 3rd - meeting at 1:00pm, games start at 1:15pm. * William McKinley Monument in NoPa: https://maps.app.goo.gl/gSDmnZA9md6r5orU9 * We’re planning to use the space in front of the monument as our “stage”. * Plus, it’s more shaded and there are public restrooms nearby. If you’re still reading (whoo whoo), here is a Wiki rabbit hole about improv: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Improvisational_theatre Come play some games with us!

**Hello Ocean Lovers,** Let's meet up go for a Green Exercise Wellness Hike at Lands End Trail, meet new friends and get a good workout together. Enjoy Ocean air and Healing Sea for our physical Health and Mental well-being Lands End Trail is a favorite among both locals and visitors alike! This trail explores the historic Sutro Baths and offers great views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Pacific Ocean. A must see for any visitor to San Francisco. **Lands End San Francisco** The Coastal Trail at Lands End in San Francisco is a gorgeous spot for hiking, but most visitors to the city don't know it's there. Early History San Francisco was originally inhabited by the Ohlone Indians. An archeological site at Lands End was dated at 150 A.D., but there is evidence that Indians had been living in San Francisco for around 3,000 years. They had seasonal camps where the Sutro Baths ruins are now, eating seafood and hunting seals; archeologists found their garbage dumps, more politely known as middens. Hiking the Lands End Trail The Lands End Coastal Trail is walkway that starts just above the Cliff House, then winds in and out of the woods and along the edge of the bluffs, and ends in a ritzy residential area (Sea Cliff) near China Beach. Lands End Trail The way down is quite steep, but there is a stairway to follow. It's a small, rocky beach, good for relaxing and watching the breaking waves, but too rough (and cold) for swimming. Mile Rock Beach Another branch of the same path will take you down to the mini-beach, Mile Rock Beach, at the foot of Lands End Point. Mile Rock Beach-Tiny, but cool! It secluded the beach at the entrance to San Francisco Bay, a scene of many shipwrecks, but a pretty detour off the gorgeous. **Meet at 1:30pm** and **Hike time: 2pm** Great Highway & John F Kennedy Drive, San Francisco, CA 94121 GPS: https://goo.gl/maps/YYgxvPfbS9h6bfX9A across from the Beach Chalet Brewery at beach side parking lot We'll be at the beach side parking lot Parking: Free Level: Level: Moderate Challenging! Help Randy get back in shape following his 2-week Tulip Time visit to Holland. We will meet at the San Francisco Ferry Building for a moderate 5-mile scenic hike along wooded trails circling Angel Island. San Francisco Bay breezes should provide a nice hike for a hot day. Bring a lunch for our stop at the picnic area on top of Mount Livermore. This hike will be limited to a maximum of 30 people, so please be prompt in updating your RSVP if you find yourself unable to attend. NO DOGS are allowed on Angel Island. Hikers are encouraged to take Bart to the Embarcadero, then make the short walk to the Ferry Building. We will meet at Gate B (see map in "Photos" section below) at 10:30am to catch the 10:55am Angel Island ferry. Clipper Card Round Trip tickets are $19.50 ($16 senior). Make sure that you have at least $20 on your Clipper Card. If you are not using Clipper to purchase your ferry ticket, you will need to purchase a ticket at Ferry Building Gate C (see map in photo section of this MeetUp posting). Be sure to purchase a round trip ticket since no ticket purchase is available on the island. I recommend that you get to the Ferry Building no later than 10:30am to allow sufficient time for worry free ticket purchase. We will be returning to the Ferry Building on the 2:35pm ferry, which will get you back to the Ferry Building at 3:10pm. Join us for a refreshing and fun 5K run along Ocean Beach! We’ll meet at the Beach Chalet, where you can safely drop off your shoes and belongings before we head out to the beach for our run. This is a relaxed, community-paced run on the sand. Feel free to go barefoot if you’re up for the full beach experience, or keep your shoes on if you prefer. We'll run south down to roughly around Quintara Street and then return to our starting point (so we'll finish the run where we started). After completing the 5K, we’ll head back to the Beach Chalet to grab drinks or enjoy a light meal together. It’s a great chance to unwind, socialize, and soak in the nice ocean breeze. **Notes:** * All paces welcome, but please note running in the sand is a bit more challenging * Barefoot running is optional * We’ll keep an eye on belongings, but please avoid bringing valuables Come for the run, stay for the good vibes 🌊 Please let me know if you have any questions! 628-236-9369

***\*\* This event has been rescheduled from the original date of April 11th due to likely rain. \*\**** Join us for a lovely hike and tasty lunch on **Saturday April 25th**! We'll start by hiking the **South Ridge, Consolation Point View, and Middle Ridge Trail Loop** near El Granada. After we finish the hike we'll head to the **Barbara's Fishtrap** in Half Moon Bay (\~6 min drive away) for lunch. **The Hike:** South Ridge, Consolation Point View, and Middle Ridge Trail Loop https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/south-ridge-trail-dolphine-fire-road-and-middle-ridge-trail-loop The hike is 2.5 miles with a 'Hard' difficulty level, 662 ft elevation gain, a mix of sun and shade, and beautiful views. Some sections of the trail are flat and wide, while other sections are narrow, rugged and hilly - please wear sturdy shoes! The hike should take 1.5-2 hours. Bring sun protection, plenty of water, and snacks. **Lunch:** Barbara's Fishtrap in Half Moon Bay https://www.barbarasfishtrap.com/ We'll meet up at Barbara's after the hike. There's usually a long wait to sit inside at lunchtime on the weekends, so we plan to order from the to-go counter and sit at the outdoor tables. Barbara's specializes in delicious fish and chips and other seafood. There are vegetarian options, but they are limited at the to-go counter. If a group wants to sit inside for the full menu/experience they are more than welcome to - just keep in mind that there will likely be a wait 😊. There are pretty places to stroll along the waterside while you wait for your table. \* I've attached a picture of the outdoor menu - not sure if it's 100% up to date. You can see the full menu at their website. **Timing:** We're meeting at **9:45am** and starting the hike at 10am sharp. Please leave yourself additional time for parking in case the lot is full and you need to park nearby. **Meeting point #1 (hike trailhead) - 9:45am:** Quarry Park Parking Lot https://maps.app.goo.gl/sPQ1aPi8xSdspg8L7 \* Don't go to the trailhead listed on Alltrails, according to several users it's gated private land. **Meeting point #2 (lunch) - approx. 12-12:30pm:** Barbara's Fishtrap - 281 Capistrano Rd, Half Moon Bay https://maps.app.goo.gl/P2nWqCm51t8nYXD98 Hope to see you all there!
