From Wannsee to Spandau Citadel: Ferry ⛴️ + Walk along the Havel 🌳🌊

WHATSAPP LINK BELOW 📳​ We take the ferry ⛴️ at Wannsee Ferry Terminal, at 11 o'clock, to Alt-Kladow (we meet at the Ferry Terminal). Please arrive earlier, to have a margin of time necessary to catch the ferry from the station! (the ferry leaves at 11 o'clock). The ferry is not a tourist ferry, so it can be taken for free using Deutschland Ticket or Berlin travel pass. Once in Alt-Kladow we walk along the Havel, northwards 🌳🌳 (a good part of the route is on pedestrian path directly along the lake 🌊🌊). The direction is Spandau, where we will arrive after about 12kms of walking, at Spandau Citadel 🏰 INFO ℹ️ℹ️ Route distance: 12 kms Pace: about 14 minutes per km (know by experience with my events) Breaks: 1 (about half of the way through) After the Hike: we can take a coffee together in Spandau (for the people who want) ☕🏰 I do not provide a "personal support" for people who do not take the indicated train. Trip to Black Forest

Hike from Wannsee to Babelsberg: Lakes, Parks and Castles

Once again we will have our traditional Spring hike! We have done this every year, and it's a beautiful walk! The hike will go from S-Bahnhof Wannsee to Potsdam Hbf, along the Wannsee, through Volkspark & Schloss Glienicke, Park & Schloss Babelsberg, and ending in Potsdam. The walk will be about 15 km and take approx. 4 hours. You can find part of the route here, but note that this is not the full route -- we'll continue on to Potsdam: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/germany/brandenburg/von-potsdam-zum-wannsee Bring lunch, snacks & water, comfortable walking shoes, and maybe even some sunglasses. We will stop a couple of places along the way, and you *may* be able to purchase food for lunch, but it's a good idea to bring something with you. **Note: The weather in May is variable. We will reschedule this if the weather is either too rainy or cold. Please check back here before going!** It has also become a tradition to finish up at one of the nice Biergartens in Potsdam!

The Bastei Bridge is not only an architectural marvel but also an incredible natural wonder, attracting nature lovers, hikers, and photographers alike. Evening walk to Müggelsee

On next Wednesday we a planning a short walk to a pittoresque lake in Eastern Berlin. We are going to discover the Müggelsee lake and the unique Spreetunnel under the Spree river. These scenic places are easily accessible with BVG S-Bahn and tram. Our meeting is at 18:00 at Friedrichshagen S-Bahn station, then we walk to the Spreetunnel and continue our small hike in the park at another side of Spree. We return to Friedrichshagen before dark, and those who wish could go for a beer or a dish in local bars or restaurants. For lovers of nature, cultural heritage, meeting new people and socializing. The organizer is not responsable for the safety of participants. The meetup is free, while small donations (1-3 eur) to cover meetup subscription costs are appreciated. Early bird ride: Warschauer Str → Hohen Neuendorf along the Berlin Wall Trail. Start your Sunday with a morning ride along the historic Mauerweg. We'll cycle from Warschauer Straße heading north to Hohen Neuendorf, following the path where the Berlin Wall once stood. The route is flat, mostly paved, and takes us through the city, along the former border strip, through forests, and past memorials and remnants of the that era. Any bike type works. No special experience needed - you just should be comfortable riding 40 km at your own pace. From Hohen Neuendorf, you can take the S-Bahn back — it connects directly to the Ringbahn and city center. Easy return! • Start: S-Bahn Warschauer Straße • End: S-Bahn Hohen Neuendorf • Distance: \~40 km • Terrain: Flat, mostly paved bike paths • Pace: The one you're comfortable with — we're here to enjoy a beautiful start to the day. We keep moving but it's not a race • Recommended to bring: water, a snack, and sunscreen • Equipment: Up to you but you're responsible for your own safety.
