Join us in demanding that Petco stop selling animals! Most people shop at Petco because they care for animals. They may have no idea that the animals on the store’s shelves come from horrifically cruel breeding mills and some species are even kidnapped from their habitats in the wild. Shockingly, the majority of animals bred and shipped to pet stores die before they even reach the store shelf. Meetup: Clover Exposed! Big Dairy is Terrified

A new DxE investigation was just released that exposes horrible cruelty against animals at a calf ranch linked to Clover Sonoma (the infamous dairy company that uses that silly smiling cow mascot to humane-wash what they do to animals). While Clover Sonoma markets itself as local, humane-certified, and committed to animal welfare, we know that the industry exists to profits off of animal exploitation and causes animals immense suffering. Let’s get outside and enjoy the weekend! We’re hosting a casual, laid-back afternoon at Lake Merritt for anyone looking to meet new people, play some games, or just relax in the sun. We’ll have a few different sports set up, including a freestanding volleyball net and a spot for soccer. Whether you want to jump into a rotating game, throw a frisbee around, or just sit on a picnic blanket and chat with the Bay Area Social Scene, this event is totally go-at-your-own-pace. There’s zero pressure to be an athlete—the main goal is just to hang out and have a good time! The Game Plan: 1:00 PM: Arrive, set up blankets, and say hi.
