We create a space for honest, constructive analysis of how the news is covered and how the cycle impacts our interests. **WHO IT’S FOR** Originally built for journalists, it’s open to everyone. Media professionals, researchers, students, and curious members of the public — all perspectives are welcome. No credentials needed — just a critical eye. **WHAT WE DO** Each session, participants step into the role of FI editors and journalists. Together, we examine real headlines, using the FI platform live to improve news literacy and encourage civil, collaborative discussion in a non-judgemental environment. **BEFORE ATTENDING;** Before attending, we ask participants to review the monthly news cycle and come prepared with 3–4 editorial observations. These can include red flags (e.g. bias, weak sourcing, misleading framing) or green flags (e.g. strong evidence, balanced reporting, transparency) to discuss with the group.
