Please be prompt, at 6:30 pm Pacific, and plan to stay until we close out as a group or at 8:00 pm Pacific. We open with a short icebreaker within a few minutes of the start time, which is great for getting to know one another better. Arriving late or leaving early “individually” can distract the group discussion, so arriving on time and staying until 8:00 pm Pacific, is appreciated. We do occasionally stay later but if you need to bow out then, no worries. And…we could finish early. (Early has not happened, but I am just saying it could. Lol.)

I am inviting you to join us for CIRCLES, a day of intimate conversations and meaningful connections. This is why it is my favorite event. It will be followed by a potluck dinner and play time. This event is for all ages and for both singles and couples looking to make new friends.
I have noticed from every past CIRCLES event, that women don't really want to leave right away. Because of this, I have decided to create a space afterwards for us to dine together, continue getting to know one another and mix in some fun while we're at it. There are plenty of ways to enjoy one another including ping pong, swimming, hot tub, foosball and just relaxing together. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING.
Some women rushed off right afterwards to feed their dogs. I'm putting out the notion that you might really want to stay so if it is possible to make arrangements ahead of time, please plan ahead!
**In order to RSVP and get your name on the list, you will be asked to pay the event fee of $25. I ask that you manage your RSVP thoughtfully since this event is in our home and space is limited. If any of you are a "no show" or cancel at the last minute, it means that someone else probably missed their opportunity to come. I will give a refund if you cancel by Thursday, October 10th. That being said, I acknowledge that things do come up that justify cancelling. Of course.

We will sit in groups of five and I will ask a thought provoking question. Each person will have a few minutes to respond while everyone else listens without reacting or responding. After each woman has shared, there is time allotted to continue on for a bit together. Then, we will switch circles and do it all over again. By the end of the day, you will hopefully have gotten to connect with every woman there.Regardless of the question, you are free to share at whatever level you feel comfortable with. It's up to you. If you are shy or you are challenged with opening up to new people, you can go at your own pace. You may feel more inspired that you think once you experience other women sharing.
You may want to bring your swim suit and a towel in case you want to jump in the pool or hot tub. If its hot out, we may even want to jump in during breaks too! We will be outside in the shade for most of the day.
We do have mosquitos so you may want to come prepared for that (we will have spray).
Again, if there is a waiting list, PLEASE JOIN IT AND KEEP AN EYE ON THE LIST DAILY. Please keep an eye on it because cancellations happen, even at the last minute. If you change your mind in the meantime, PLEASE remove yourself or you might end up on the list and not know it!)

Circles will be complete around 5ish. The potluck will start soon after that. You have probably had the experience where everyone brings the same things, right? So, please post what you are bringing below and look over the list before you decide if possible so we can have a well rounded, good selection. WE LOVE HOME MADE FOOD!I will provide some sodas, bubbly waters and ice tea. There will be an ice chest available if you want to bring something else that you enjoy.

WE'RE HOSTING A PARTY @ WISEPLACE!! So Many Women...So Little Time is hosting a special Autumn party for the women receiving support from WisePlace solo women's services. Let's join forces and offer our love and support by providing a fun trivia game night along with dinner and gift bags!
**In order to RSVP here you will be required to pay $40 (plus service fee) through the meetup site and show up in person to volunteer. This will cover your own dinner plus dinner for one woman you are sponsoring. If you want to sponsor more than one woman, that would be awesome! We are bringing 16 volunteers and we need to supply meals for 25 participants, 5 staff (not counting us) so we will need the additional donations indeed!

These events will be a wonderful opportunity for women in need to bond with one another and find peer support to help them get back on their feet.
WISEPlace is the only Orange County-based nonprofit leading the effort to end homelessness for unaccompanied women. They provide women with safe shelter, counseling and mental health services, case management and addiction recovery, and employment assistance to help rebuild their lives.
The women at WisePlace often lack the support system of a spouse, significant other, or children. Nearly half are disabled, over eighty percent have experienced domestic violence and nearly all have incomes well below the poverty line. These and other factors put the women we serve at a greater risk of becoming homeless.
