Cynthia Brown — A True Francophile
Cynthia has traveled to France more than 25 times and has visited numerous countries where French is the predominant language. France continues to hold a special place in her heart, and she returns regularly to spend time with her life partner, Christophe.
She has also earned the DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) A2 certification, demonstrating her commitment to continuing her French-language journey.
Beginning in October 2026, Cynthia brings that passion for French cinema to The French Club Cinema, where she coordinates the film class. She selects films for the group to watch in advance and leads lively discussions and Q&A sessions, creating an opportunity for members to explore French language, culture, history, and storytelling through cinema.
For Cynthia, being a Francophile is more than an appreciation of France — it is a lifelong journey of learning, travel, friendship, culture, and a deep affection for the French language and way of life.

🎲 French Game Night – Test Your French Knowledge! 📚🏆
·OnlineOnlineJoin us for a fun and interactive French Game Night: Test your knowledge of the French language.
NOTE: In order to obtain the full Zoom call details, please read the FULL description of the Meetup event.
You need to be logged into your own free Zoom account in order to join.During this event, we will play a quiz-style game with about 30-40 questions related to French.
Each question has only one correct answer, and the contestants will try to answer as quickly and accurately as possible.
Questions may include topics such as vocabulary, expressions, grammar, culture, pronunciation, and interesting facts related to the French language.
This event is designed to be both entertaining and educational, and it is open to learners of different levels.How the game works 🎰
Participants who wish to compete, as contestants, can volunteer.
We will select five contestants for the evening.
The five contestants will answer the quiz questions live.
When a question is asked, contestants can signal that they want to answer by using the Raise Hand button on Zoom.
The first person recognized will have the opportunity to answer.
If the answer is correct, the contestant earns a point.
If the answer is incorrect, the other contestants may have a chance to answer.
At the end of the game, the contestant with the highest number of points wins the Game Night.Prize 🏆
