    The Gaskell Ball

Oakland Scottish Rite, 1547 Lakeside Dr, Oakland, CA, US

Join us at the most elegant ball of the season: The Gaskell Ball.

The ball will be a sight to see, with hundreds of people in formal attire, dancing to the music of a live brass band.

The Gaskell Ball is held at the Oakland Scottish Rite Center in Oakland, a beautiful, historic, 1927 ballroom.

The evening includes partnered dances of the Victorian era: The Waltz (of course!), the Polka, The Schottische, The Mazurka, and more. There will also be group dances, such as Sellinger's Round, Strip the Willow, and, of course, the classic Sir Roger de Coverly.

An afternoon class is provided, to refresh or refine your dancing for the ball.

This is a formal event, formal attire is REQUIRED. For details: https://gaskellball.com/costumes.html

The 2024 ball sold out, and we expect the same this year, as we are limiting sales even more to reduce crowding. Get your tickets now!
