Banquet is open to all - participants are invited to bring a vegan dish and recipe to share; in exchange for a free artwork edition*** This collective performance is organised by **[Tiziana Pers](https://www.instagram.com/tizianapers)** as part of ‘[Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead](https://www.instagram.com/mariahinel/p/DW3vlnuje3R)’, a group exhibition exploring animal agency, curated by host **[Maria Hinel](https://mariahinel.com)** at **[Hypha Gallery 1](https://hyphastudios.com/hypha-gallery1-at-no-1-poultry-2)** ([map](https://maps.google.com/?cid=5994705386449023815)). Each participant is invited to think of a dish without meat or fish or other animal derivatives, which represents an important moment in one's life, to transcribe the recipe, and to bring the described dish to the gallery. In exchange for their dish and recipe, each performer would receive a **numbered artwork edition multiple signed by the artist**, depicting an animal that she had saved from being killed. The dishes will be shared among all those present, in a real collective meal composed of a multitude of gestures and memories. The collection of recipes thus ideally contains a plurality of memories and notes aimed at imagining a possible banquet. The very gesture of sitting at a common table without pain, where future prospects and reflections can be shared, is today symbolically even more relevant. It's been a long while since our last Contemporary Art London event, but I'm really excited to announce our next outing into the gallery scene. We'll be returning to our regular route, visiting five of the big-brand galleries you'll find around Mayfair. And there's a lot to see! **1. [Flavin, Judd, McCracken, Ryman, Sandback at David Zwirner](https://www.davidzwirner.com/exhibitions/2026/flavin-judd-mccracken-ryman-sandback)** Dan Flavin, Donald Judd, John McCracken, Robert Ryman, and Fred Sandback were at the avant-garde of American art during the 1960s and 1970s, the show bringing together a selection of sculptures, paintings and prints that radically reconfigured the possibilities of abstraction, focusing in particular on these artists’ considered use of colour in their pursuit of a non-representational form of expression. **2. [Thomas Scheibitz at Sprueth Magers](https://spruethmagers.com/artists/thomas-scheibitz/)** Scheibitz is among the most important German painters and sculptors of his generation. Since the early 1990s, he has developed a kind of conceptual painting and sculpture that draws upon art-historical references, and at the heart of the Berlin-based artist’s work is a search for a new relationship between figuration and abstraction. **3. [Alyina Zaidi at Pillar Corrias](https://www.pilarcorrias.com/exhibitions/518-alyina-zaidi-rewilding/)** Rewilding is a solo exhibition of new paintings by Alyina Zaidi. The exhibition continues the artist’s practice of world-making, envisioning surreal, imagined topographies shaped by memory and myth. **4. [Tetsumi Kudo at Hauser & Wirth](https://www.hauserwirth.com/hauser-wirth-exhibitions/tetsumi-kudo/)** In a wide-ranging practice spanning four decades, post-war Japanese artist Tetsumi Kudo explored the implications of what would later be termed the Anthropocene in prescient work that interrogated the proliferation of mass consumption, the rise of technology and environmental degradation. **5. [Loie Hollowell at Pace Gallery](https://www.pacegallery.com/exhibitions/loie-hollowell-overview-effect-london/)** Overview Effect, the artist’s first presentation in the UK since 2018, will feature new paintings from her series of the same name, which uses abstraction to capture the sensations of contractions during childbirth. WORKSHOP: Light Painting at St. Paul's. These small, focused workshops aim to provide our community with specific skills, inspiration, techniques, ideas, tips, and tricks to help you grow as a photographer. They are real hands-on workshops, with practical exercises to do on the night. Groups will be kept small to ensure ample one-to-one time. This workshop is led by Jose, aka Portugueezer, and Andrew. Hello Wimbledon creatives! After a few successful collage workshops, I have decided to keep it going and I am excited to announce the next one will be on Saturday 18 April 2026 from 2 to 4 pm at Wimbledon Library. Please ask at the reception for Exhibition Room 2 to find us upon arrival. The session runs from 2 to 4 pm. Please arrive at 2 pm so we can begin together, and we will finish at 4 pm. I allow 15 minutes at the beginning for setting up and settling in, and 15 minutes at the end for cleaning and packing away, so the creative workshop time itself lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. We will dive into the art of combining magazines, newspaper pages, and coloured paper to craft unique and quirky pieces. Whether you are feeling a little lonely and want some warm company, looking for a playful and artistic date, simply want to explore your creative side, or are tired of the digital world and want real interactions, this workshop is for you. We are a real world Martial arts group. \ Called DO JUNG ISHU (the art of fighting) \ Based off of Jeet kune do we just continued where Bruce Lee left off. \ We have been around a while. \ We are donation based. Our monthly meeting will be Sunday April 19th 1-4 PM This will be held at 4049 Garrett W Dr, Columbus, 43214 This is off of Olentangy River Rd, north of Riverside Hospital. This is the home of one of our members. Everyone is welcome - beginner to expert. This is a casual folding session. People will teach a few models.
