Let’s start simple. Technoverts is a new group for introverts in tech who want to connect without the noise and pressure of traditional networking events. This first meetup is a relaxed, small-group coffee gathering—no agenda, no icebreakers, no expectations beyond showing up. If you work in or around tech (cybersecurity, IT, cloud, dev, data, etc.) and prefer quieter, more meaningful conversations, you’ll likely feel at home here. What to expect: • A small group (intentionally capped) • A calm, conversation-friendly setting • The option to participate as much—or as little—as you want

Join us for an Community Cleanup. Trash goes from our streams into the Potomac River and ultimately the Chesapeake Bay and the Oceans. Help us protect our environment and make new friends who care. We’re looking for volunteers to help at the Community Art Fair during the AANHPI Heritage Festival on May 9, from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM at Mason District Park. If you’re available and would like to be part of this community event, please register to join us. Your support helps bring art and connection to the community!

We'll be getting food at a Latin Grill food truck near our volunteer site right after we're done. I haven't tried their Guatemalan loaded sandwich, shuco, yet but will be giving it a shot this time around.

The Phoenix DC Club of Toastmasters International congregates at the Petworth Library. Its location of 4200 Kansas Avenue is nestled within the Northwest quadrant of Washington, DC. We are on the #70 bus line and within proximity of the Georgia Avenue Petworth Metro Train Station on the Green/Yellow line. Club Phoenix DC #2226 has been in existence since March of 1998. We meet on every 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Shilohites Toastmasters meets every 2nd and 4th Sundays. Meetings start at 4:00 pm, and last one hour. We are a community club open to all. Parking is free. We focus on personal goals for professional development.

Let’s check out Northside Social in Arlington. This seems like a popular spot, but believe it or not, I've never been. If we've got the weather on our side, we may be able to grab a table outside. It'll be a chill vibe and relaxed conversation. Always a nice break from the stress of the week. (No discussions on politics, religion or potentially controversial topics. Hey Poetry Lovers! This group is on a roll. Here’s the gist: We meet at the **Capital One Café in Chinatown** from **12pm - 2pm** every other week. For enrichment, we start by reading and reflecting on a **“published poem”**, suggested by someone in the group. No advance preparation is necessary.
