Hi everyone. We'll meet and play a relaxed game of ultimate in Volkspark Rehberge if the weather cooperates. Our games focus on having great team play, where the teams work together to advance the disk down the field. It's more important to work well together as a team than have a few star players get a point with lucky shots. For this reason, players of all skill levels (especially those who have never played) are welcome to join Bring plenty of water, shoes you can run in and comfortable clothing that can get a bit dirty. Although we're an established group, newcomers are always welcome. After the game we try to spend some time together and have fun. Finding us: We meet in this big grassy area, it's a short bike ride from the subway stop Rehberge on the U6 or Amrumer Strasse on the U9. It can be a bit tricky to find the first time, so we've got a few methods to help out (don't trust the meetup map pin, it often shows some point in the park, not the exact spot where we are) 1. Geburtstag des Volksmärchensammlers Alexander Afanassjew gefeiert. Das Treffen des Sprachklubs wird den von ihm gesammelten russischen Märchen gewidmet sein. Die Teilnehmenden lernen eine Vielzahl von Geschichten kennen – sowohl bekannte als auch ungewöhnliche, diskutieren die Abenteuer der Helden – Wolf, Fuchs, Bär und andere Tiere – und natürlich auch Baba Jaga! Die Gäste des Sprachklubs werden außerdem darüber nachdenken, welche Einsichten diese Märchen über das Leben und menschliche Eigenschaften vermitteln können. Die Teilnehmenden erwarten spannende Diskussionen und ein Eintauchen in die zauberhafte Welt des russischen Volksmärchens.

It is a bit too early for a midsummer night party, but on the weekend the weather forecast predicts thunderstorms. On Friday evening, we will celebrate midsummer night with a hike through Königswald and a picnic, including swimming, at Sacrower Lake. We’ll meet at the Wannsee ferry terminal (near Wannsee S-Bahn station) at 17:55 and take the ferry to Alt-Kladow at 6 pm. The ferry ride is covered by a standard BVG ticket (Zone B). (The next ferry leaves an hour later, so please allow about 5 minutes to walk from the S-Bahn station to the terminal.) From Alt-Kladow, we’ll follow freely this Komoot route: https://www.komoot.com/de-de/tour/1585149981 . I aim at a hike duration of 2 1/2 hours. After 12 km, we want to arrive at Sacrower Lake. Bring swimwear, food and drinks and, if you like, champagne to celebrate the best time of the year. At around 22:30 we leave the lake and head for the bus station in Alt-Kladow. For communication during the hike, I will send a Signal group link to all participants via private message a couple of hours before the hike. This timing is intended to prevent non-participants from misusing the link for unwanted advertising, which has happened in the past. Signal allows us to share our locations during the hike without involuntarily forwarding this information to the intelligence services of authoritarian or non-authoritarian states, but unfortunately the location sharing function does not include tracking, i.e. no continuous updates. For all other purposes, especially socialising and posting photos, please use the Telegram subgroup 'Event Chat & Photos': https://t.me/addlist/KAOk2PA4BDE0ZTY8 . The hike will take place if at least 6 people sign up. As long as there are more than 6 people, you can sign up and cancel as many times as you like. We are going to meet inside "urban apes Basement Boulderstudio", close to S Anhalter Bahnhof, also not far from Potsdamer Platz. If you have never been there, you will need to sign up with them, which will take a bit of time.
