Come out to a evening filled with fun board games at Aslin Beer Company in Herndon! We play a variety of games, including strategy, co-op, and party games! Always welcoming to people who are brand new to the hobby to those who have been playing for years! We will be meeting in the Izzi building (not the main taproom), as there is more table space there and is right next to where you can get food and drinks! There is hard cap on attendees per say, but we would prefer that you sign up in advance so we have a rough head count as to whom to expect! Can't wait to see you all there!

Every Tuesday starting at 6pm, Crossroads welcomes Disney Lorcana TCG players to casual and league game nights! There will be prizes for the winners & lots of fun to be had! Get on the request list for preordering new sets. Josh is a volunteer leader, and John (store owner) is the one to talk to about requesting merch. No entrance fee; all we ask is that you buy dinner and/or drinks so we can pay rent and continue to offer this place for you all to play!

Q-15 In the Footsteps of Horror A group of powerful Pathfinders had to abandon the exploration of an underground complex after defeating a powerful lich and stopping a devatating ritual by the skin of their teeth. The PCs are tasked with exploring this complex now cleared of threats and cataloguing what's there. The ritual, though, while incomplete, has still linked the site to its conterpart in the Netherworld, and once they enter the PCs find that their task will not be as simple or boring as promised, as they have to fight through the shadowy mirror of the Netherworld complex just to get back home, with unknown threats that most assuredly were not cleared out. Q-10 The Broken Scales It's often debated whether Venture-Captain Drandle Dreng is dangerously erratic or simply uncannily unpredictable, but wherever he appears, chaos is sure to follow. When Dreng calls for a group of Pathfinders to help him check on the Society's kobold allies, the Sewer Dragons, what should have been a simple rendevous turns into a chase through the sewers of Absalom to save the Society's scaley associates.

Every week it's a different theme! We have done authors and their works, Changing Seasons, Animated Characters, and lots more. Form a team, but your team score is the amount of correct answers divided by number of team members. And, yes, there are prizes! If attendance is low, everyone gets something, but if it's big, the prizes are bigger, including gift cards! All questions are either created by us, or taken from one of our very many trivia games on hand. There will always be easy and hard questions, plus a fair range for every kind of player to be involved. Cost of attendance is being a patron of the store - buy food and drink or even a new game, and you're welcome to sit and play this (or any other game from our massive library!).

For our January Happy Hour let's go back to Rai's Pour House! The Happy Hour will be on the second Tuesday of the month. We will meet at Rai's Pour House which is owned by the same people who own and Rai's Rendezvous, Rai's Pizza and Sully's Pour House. My name is MJ Huntsgood, and I am a speculative horror author with award-nominated speculative fiction published in literary magazines, anthologies, and across the internet. I've taught classes online, at conventions, and in other venues. I'd love to bring my knowledge to the community. In this one-hour workshop, we’ll explore how to use speculative elements (science fiction, fantasy, horror, slipstream, dystopian, surreal) as tools for storytelling rather than decoration. The focus is on clarity, emotional stakes, and ideas that actually sustain a narrative. In this one-shot, you can jump in easily as a new player or join if you're more experienced. \*\*\* **The story:** First Seeker Sarmak has called on scientist Dr. Heldin Sevaille to create an inoculation for the mysterious “conversion” which is transforming wildlife and people on Akiton. The final ingredient she requires is in a remote forest on Marata, one of Bretheda’s moons. A team of Starfinders is needed to collect samples of this rare plant with a few local scientists. But trouble is brewing… the Frozen Trove, a notorious biotech corporation, is also on Marata and is putting the entire ecosystem at risk. **Notes**: Replayable (with a different character), this IS a metaplot adventure (but is more like a side quest related to it). \*\*\*\* **The Characters:** You can use an [level 1 pregenerated character](https://paizo.com/starfinder) *or* make your [own character](https://paizo.com/starfindersociety/characteroptions) using the Starfinder 2e rules. Seeking fame, fortune, and the thrill of discovery, you and your companions seek a ziggurat recently exposed by a sandstorm, built by the ancient civilization of Cynidicea. Thursday is becoming the favored week night for STRATEGY gamers here at Crossroads! We have played Mare Nostrum, Orleans, Gaia Project, and more. Bring your preferences, be ready to split if it's a larger group, and rely on us for an awesome variety of games from which to choose. Tables are situated at a distance and servers wear masks for Covid mitigation, but table-mates should be respectful of each other and have masks ready as well unless you already cohabitate or have reason to trust each other. All other Covid precautions are in place by Crossroads, including hygeine and cleanliness.

**FOR BEGINNERS** If you've ever seen Korean movies or K-dramas, you may have seen some characters play with small red cards decorated with flowers and animals. Those cards are called "hwatu" or flower cards. The most popular game played with hwatu is "Go-Stop". Come to the inaugural meeting of Hwatu Hangout, and learn how to play this awesome game. It can take some time to orient yourself with the cards and rules, but once you do, there's no turning back. It's major fun. **FOR EXPERIENCED PLAYERS** No Tazza-style deck rigging or hand chopping. Most importantly, no gambling. We may play with plastic chips to raise the faux stakes, but that's it! Games night is back! With our favorite local game store opening back up, Games night will come back starting Monday June 7th! We are an lgbt+ games group that’s been going for nearly 3 years now! We welcome anyone in the lgbt+ community to come play board games every Monday with our fun and chaotic crew! If you’re brand new to board gaming and looking to make some friends or if you love playing 4 hour space operas and are looking to make some rivals, we’re the group for you!
