Yoga for Athletes
### Yoga for Athletes
This is a full-body upgrade for active people. Whether you run, cycle, lift, ski, play team sports or simply move to feel good, this class is designed for anyone who loves being active. You don’t need to be flexible, a yogi or even call yourself an athlete. If you train hard or move often, this class is for you.
We combine functional mobility, strength integration, deep stretch and breathwork to support your performance, speed up recovery and balance the nervous system. Each session has a smart, purposeful focus: from joint control and movement patterns to breath awareness and active recovery tools. It’s yoga made for athletes: not random flows, but intentional practice to help you move better, reduce tightness, prevent injury and build resilience.
Why to join:
* Support your training – mobility, recovery and nervous system reset for sustainable performance.
* Functional & evidence-based – blending mindful movement with anatomy, biomechanics and breath science.
* Accessible for all levels – no flexibility required, just curiosity and willingness to move.
* Train smarter, not harder – enhance performance, prevent injuries and speed up recovery.
* Community of movers – practice alongside fellow active people in a supportive environment.
Class in English // Beginner-friendly, open to all levels, sports and genders

Slow Down: Yin Yoga & Myofascial Release
### Slow Down: Yin Yoga & Myofascial Release
Take 90 minutes just for yourself. This calming and grounding class invites you to slow down in a yin-inspired practice while giving yourself a gentle self-massage using myofascial release tools like balls, blocks and blankets. Together, we create space for your body to unwind, your breath to deepen and your mind to reset.
The practice helps release tension, restore mobility (especially in the hips, back and shoulders), support recovery and reconnect you with your body. It’s a nourishing way to improve flexibility and body awareness while cultivating inner calm. If you sit a lot, train hard, feel mentally or physically tense or simply need a pause in your week — this is your go-to session.
Why Join:
* Release tension & tightness – support recovery and restore mobility where you need it most.
* Calm the nervous system – slow, mindful practice to ease stress and support mental clarity.
* Improve flexibility & body awareness – yin postures combined with MFR for deeper release.
* Accessible to all – no experience needed, just a willingness to slow down and care for yourself.
* Space to pause – carve out time for stillness, reflection and self-connection.

Class will finish with an extended savasana, relaxation, with the sound of Tibetan bowls.

Easy 10K | 200m Elevation | Pace: ~6:30
**Join me for a beautiful run alongside the Werenbach.**
Start in front of the Opera, run until "Zollikerberg, Trichtenhausermühle" and back.
The track is around 5K one way, has just under 200m elevation and can be run – go and back – in a little bit over an hour... at least that's how long it takes me.
I will only go, if it is not raining.
*Please be on time.*
Join me for some recharging forest and river vibes. Escape the city but without having to go far.
See you there

ZH3 Hash # 1695: New Year's De-Volutions. Whip It!
Hares are Chainsaw & Lazmo Mr. Scum
If you haven't already broken your resolutions for 2026 by Saturday, come along to our HHH and let us help you out of your good intentions.
This will be an A-to-A run, starting and ending at our house, followed by an Apero thingee... which is French for "pretending to be elegant about drinking". Doggies welcome, try not to scare our cat.
Can you, Should you, bring something or other? Sure, why not.
**Update #1:**
At 5pm or so, **Black Udder** and **Africa** will lead a **coalition of the billing** to a nearby pizza restaurant for dinner. Meanwhile, me & other **guarders of the fort** will remain at the venue to drink beers and maybe order out for pizza or somethings or not or whatevers. Decide on the spot, because my RSVP secretary is still on vacation.
**Update #2:**
My dear spog **Down-Down Abi** has volunteered to co-hare a simultaneous **HHHorrors** trail. So once again, we mix big folks and little 'uns. (**Obviously Anna** has theater rehearsal all afternoon, thus we see her later.)
**Where**:
At the hare's hutch in Adliswil. See location.
**When:**
We'll meet at 13:50 pm to start at 14:00 pm.
There's a charge of CHF 5 for participating, which covers all you can drink beer/cider (and non-alcoholic alternatives) plus snacks afterwards.
**All Welcome:**
If you are new, curious, and want to get out of the house, stretch your legs, talk trash, enjoy a drink, and hopefully a laugh, then here's what you need to know:
• We are a social running/walking group, physical fitness is not required, but a sense of humour is useful.
• The aim is to find the '*Beer Stop*' at the end of the '*trail*' and have fun.
• 'True Trail' is typically 4-7 km. Some will go less (especially those walking or walk/running), and some over-achieving fast runners will go further.
• The '*Hare*', which changes each event (along with location), cleverly lays the trail (typically with flour marks) so that everyone reaches the end at the same time.
• There is always a place to deposit your bag and sometimes a place to change.
• **After Trail**, we group for \~20-40 minutes for drinks, snacks, and some fun. This '*Circle*' is typically outside, so leave something warm in your bag in winter (and bring a flashlight when it's dark). If you don't want to stand around drinking afterwards, you can head home. We occasionally all go to a restaurant afterwards.
**Why bother leaving your warm & dry sofa?**
If you enjoy getting outside, being around people, and doing something a bit different, you will probably enjoy hashing. Exercise is important, and this is probably the least boring way to get it.
'Hashing' and the idea of some physical activity to work up a thirst, have been around for almost 90 years and there are groups (*Hashes*) in most major cities. Its humor and 'traditions' can be explored on the internet - **or you can just come along and find out.** *See you there.*
We are of many nationalities, all ages, full of misfits and idiots (at least there is no one taking themselves seriously!) and always welcome newbies 'Virgin Hashers' and visitors from other groups.

ZH3 Hash # 1694: Zum into the New Year!
Hares are **One Night Wonder** and **Squatty Potty**!
Out with the old, in with the new - it’s time to **ZUM into the New Year**!
Join us as we shake off 2025 and kick off 2026 with a fresh hash trail set straight out of **Zumikon** (yes, *Z-U-M*, not Zoom… no screens required 😉).
Expect a festive start, a properly laid trail, a chance to stretch the legs, clear the head, and start the year the right way: outdoors, together, and with good vibes all around.
New year, new trail, same questionable decisions. Meet at Zumikon Mobility parking. We are trying to arrange dinner at a local pizzeria - updates to come.
**On on!**
**Where**:
Zumikon Mobility near the tram station. Look for English speakers wearing running gear.
**When:**
We'll meet at 13:50 to start at 14:00.
There's a charge of CHF 5 for participating, which covers all you can drink beer/cider (and non-alcoholic alternatives) plus snacks afterwards.
