Seguimos bajando los turrones.😀 Bonita ruta paisajística circular desde Vilafranca del Penedés donde pasaremos por su centro histórico,extensiones de viñedos,espacios agrícolas,ermitas y un espectacular mirador.Todo ello disfrutando de las vistas de Montserrat en la lejanía. Distancia: 9km aprox. Tiempo: 2h45m (acabaremos sobre las 13.45h aprox). Dificultad: fácil (casi toda plana con alguna subida) 🏃‍♂️🌳 PLAN: ⏲ KEDADA: 9.30h PASEO DE GRACIA Nº3(ÉS UN PORTAL). ÒSCAR, WSP, LLEVARÉ GORRA ROJA. 🚇 Cogeremos el tren (R4,destino Sant Vicençs de Calders) que pasa por catalunya a las 9.47h.Por sants pasa a las 9.52h y por la sagrera 9.38h para las personas que les vaya mejor estas estaciones. Cada uno se saca su billete. **(CASTELLANO a continuación 🌲 ENGLISH below)** **Un clàssic del senderisme a casa nostra, i una de les nostres rutes preferides: la pujada al Santuari de Queralt a través d’una espectacular circular d’11 km i 580 m de desnivell pels impressionants Cingles de Queralt, coneguts també com el “balcó de Catalunya”.** Començarem amb un bon esmorzar per agafar forces, i tot seguit posarem rumb al **Santuari de Queralt**, on **visitarem la seva venerada Mare de Déu i gaudirem d’algunes de les millors vistes de Catalunya!** La ruta és d’aquelles que enamoren: pels paisatges espectaculars de la Serra de Queralt, pels seus cingles, les roques i els boscos. La ruta es de esas que enamoran: por los paisajes espectaculares de la Sierra de Queralt, por sus riscos, rocas y bosques. Ya en el descenso, descubriremos la Font Calenta —una curiosa surgencia de agua termal— que nos acompañará durante varios kilómetros del camino. En esta ruta circular coronaremos una de las cimas más emblemáticas de Catalunya, el Matagalls, a la que llegaremos desde Collformic: una ruta clásica para empezar el año con energía, unos paisajes panorámicos al corazón del Monseny. **History** [Blacklick Woods Metro Park](https://www.metroparks.net/parks-and-trails/blacklick-woods/), established in 1949, holds the distinction of being the first Columbus Metro Park. Its creation stemmed from a post-World War II push to preserve natural areas amid rapid suburban growth. The land, originally farmland and woodlots along Blacklick Creek, was acquired by the Columbus Metropolitan Park Board through donations and purchases. Early efforts focused on basic trail development and reforestation to combat erosion. The park's name derives from the creek, which early settlers called "Black Lick" due to its dark, mineral-rich waters. By the 1950s, it served as a model for the expanding Metro Parks system. In the 1960s, Blacklick Woods expanded significantly with additional land acquisitions, reaching over 600 acres. A golf course was added in 1964, one of the first public courses in the region, designed to generate revenue for park maintenance. Native American artifacts, including arrowheads from the Adena culture, were discovered during construction, highlighting the area's prehistoric use as hunting grounds. The park introduced interpretive programs to educate visitors on local ecology and history. Flood control measures along the creek became a priority after heavy rains caused damage. These developments solidified its role as a recreational hub. The 1970s and 1980s brought environmental awareness, leading to habitat restoration projects at Blacklick Woods. Invasive species were removed, and native wildflowers were planted in the meadows. A nature center opened in 1976, featuring exhibits on wetlands and forests. The park's slate-covered bridge, a remnant of 19th-century infrastructure, was preserved as a historic feature. Birdwatching gained popularity with the addition of observation decks.
