WordCamp Vienna is the largest WordCamp in Central Europe and will take place for the 10th time on April 10 and 11, 2026, at the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH), the campus of the University of Vienna. We expect more than 350 WordPress enthusiasts from Austria and abroad. On Friday, April 10, we will kick things off in the afternoon with 6 workshops for beginners, intermediate users, and developers — as well as a session designed to encourage exchange within the Austrian WordPress community. Shot over two periods five years apart, the film returns to its protagonist, tracing what has changed and what remains unresolved. Through its long-term engagement, Stateless explores statelessness, the right of return, occupation, and the meaning of home under conditions of permanent uncertainty. .  Mohammad Abou Chucker is a Palestinian-Syrian photographer and filmmaker working at the intersection of migration, identity, home and art based practices. Drawing on his own experience of displacement, his work centres storytelling with and about refugee and marginalized communities through visual media, participatory methods, and human rights informed approaches.

This hike is all about walking, wide views, and enjoying the landscape together with plenty of time for conversation, short breaks, and simply being outdoors. **Highlights** * 🏰 **Seebenstein Castle & Museums-Burg Grimmenstein** — history and views combined * ⛰️ **Türkensturz rock formation** with one of the best viewpoints in the area * 🌿 **Varied landscape** with forest paths, open sections, and gentle climbs * 🌄 **Wide views** across the region at several points along the route **Meeting Point & Travel** 📍 **Meeting point:** Praterstern station at **08:15 a.m.**, near the ticket machines We will take the 08:42 a.m. train to Wr. Neustadt and change there to a local train. Spring is back! You are invited to hike with us on **Sunday, April 12**, in the quiet hills around Vienna, starting together at 13:00 from Hütteldorf U4 U-Bahn/S-Bahn station and reaching the Jubiläumswarte on foot at around 450 mt altitude. The exact **meeting point** is just outside the station door facing the bus stops (you'll have the Anker bakery on your left when you exit through that door). A funny pug named Uschi will probably join us. We'll reach the Stadtwanderweg number 4 together and then we'll follow that hiking path entirely. We'll do a 30-minute stop near the observation tower on the top of the hill, where you can eat your fruits and snacks, and we plan to be back at the Hütteldorf station at 17:00. Please bring 1 liter of water and wear sturdy shoes and comfortable clothes. The hike is not long, but it is moderately difficult. We might sit in the meadow for a while if the weather allows it, so bringing a blanket could also be useful. IMPORTANT: This is not a guided hike, but simply a chance to experience nature around Vienna together, so everyone is responsible for their own health and safety. Through Langenzersdorf we continue toward the Bisamberg. The climb follows forest roads and wide hiking paths. At Elisabethhöhe (about 360m elevation) we take a short break. This trail is a meandering path through the woods. There will be some overlooks and a couple stops at the creek as well as time along a waterway. It will not be a fast paced hike. There is some elevation change and uneven terrain. I will be using poles just to be safe! Will aim to get in about three miles. Optional lunch after if there is an interest.

Over time I'm hoping to organize a hike to all the Franklin County Metro Parks. This is the first one so if you're interested jump in! We'll start with the Canopy Walk, a cool feature of this park. Climb 100 stairs to the top - or take the elevator if stairs aren't your thing. At the top there are a bunch of things to play on - a rope bridge, a fireman pole that we can slide down - and more! About fifteen minutes there and we'll head to the natural trail, Buttonbush, Maple and Beech Trail for 2.2 miles then do a 1.7 mile loop on the paved Greenway Trail. We'll be passing our cars as we transition if you only want to do the first loop, or the second loop. Pace of around 3.5 mph but no one left behind. If there is an interest we can grab lunch nearby afterward.
