There’s no requirement to drink, talk constantly, or impress anyone. You can arrive quietly, chat a bit, sit back, or leave early. All of that is fine. * We will meet outside the Edgware Road tube station, Chapel Street exit from Circle & District lines (not the Edgware Road exit from Bakerloo line), by the statue of the geezer with ladders. If you end up in Edgware Road exit, no worries, just take the left from the exit and left again at M&S store and you will see the group. * Then we will make our way via Paddington Basin where we will see the locations where 2016 Jason Bourne movie was filmed. Paddington Basin is an arm of the Grand Union canal and it was a terminal point for offloading cargo from the barges, mainly coal and building materials. * Then via Sheldon Square to Little Venice, which is a junction of the Regent's canal and the Grand Union canal to see the IWA Canalway Cavalcade; a vibrant canal festival in the heart of London’s waterways. We will spend about 30mins at the festival (pictured above) and we will then proceed via Regent's canal towpath, which was opened in 1816 and starts in Limehouse. Members who attended the Tower Hill to Canary Wharf walk would have seen this point. We will be passing by the London Zoo and Primrose Hill. * We will end our walk by the Ice Wharf (Wetherspoons), if we get lucky we might see the Camden Lock in operation. Optional drinks/lunch at the pub. People who would prefer the food from the market can always join us in later the pub. * Wonderful photo-ops for people who would like to explore the Camden High Street and Camden Market. What to bring: Comfortable footwear Water Photo-taking gadgets and chargers An umbrella just in case (it's London after all) The walk is free for members who have subscribed for an annual membership. For other members the fee is £5 cash/card on arrival to contribute towards the organiser's meetup fees and costs. The annual pass option is £15 payable by cash/card on the day. Time to swap the screen for some greenery during the bank holiday weekend! We’re heading to Rickmansworth for a chill 6km circular hike. It’s an easy route covering the lakes and the canal—perfect for some weekend gupshup and fresh air. The Plan: • Meet: Rickmansworth Tube Station 🚉 We will meet at 11 am and start the walk around 11:30 am • The Walk: A 6km (approx. 4 mile) scenic loop. No crazy hills, just good vibes. • Gear: Sturdy trainers or boots (don’t wear your fresh white Nikes, it’s muddy!). Let’s get those steps in and catch up over chai while enjoying scenic views !

We will be walking section 13 out of 15 of the Capital Ring walk. Starting from Stoke Newington station, we will walk through Springfield park and alongside the river Lea, before finishing at Hackney Wick train station. This section of the capital ring is one of the shorter sections and fairly level, we will be walking for approximately one and three quarter hours with a break in between. It can get muddy so bring suitable footwear and clothing if it looks like rain or has been raining. I'll keep a watch on the forecast and will cancel the event a day or two before if the weather is looking bad, so keep an eye on the event chat which I'll update a day or two before to confirm we are going ahead. We will meet just outside Stoke Newington station at 10:45. Unless there is a transport issue affecting everyone, we will aim to start off on the walk at 11am. I will add my location tracking on Glympse so if you are late, we will not wait but you will be able to catch us up. After the walk at Hackney Wick I am planning on heading to a local pub, the Lord Napier Star, for a drink and a bite to eat. The last time I came here they did a good Sunday Roast, if you are up for coming along please indicate in the comments. I'm estimating we would reach the end of the walk at Hackney Wick for about 12:30pm.
