DANCING EVERY 1ST AND 3RD SATURDAY NIGHTS <3 Tribalheart Ecstatic dance creates space for free-form movement in a chat free zone where you can dive deeply into the heart, reconnecting, expressing, dancing in and out, up and down, learning to let go of anything and everything that holds you back from yourSelf and inner freedom. Let the energy move you, let the spirit of the heart guide you. There is space to dance alone and no pressure to connect with anyone else, just be yourself and honour what you need in the moment. This night is an inspiration and fusion of club culture, dancing yoga, active meditation, cardio fitness, Ecstatic trance dance (blindfolds available) and a sacred Nataraj. If you choose to connect, it is a chance to meet others without words from a place of movement, meditation, energy and soul; eyes and heart wide open. ### We will start the evening with a welcoming warmup to relax the body and mind. Together we will set an intention for the evening inviting the heart to open and awaken within us thus creating sacred space for all. For those that wish to partake, we will enjoy and deepen our intention with a short Cacao ceremony. **What this is** A relaxed group ride around the Olympic Park, followed by a stop for a coffee or pint. The paths are wide, there’s no traffic, and it’s set up so everyone can ride at an easy pace and actually talk to each other. It’s more about meeting women and riding together than doing anything intense. Most women come on their own. That’s completely normal here and we make sure you don’t feel it. Women usually range from their 20s through to their 60s. It’s normally a mix of new and returning women, so you won’t be the only new person there. If you’re feeling nervous, that’s very common. Let's meet to watch the 2019/2020, British documentary ***"Coup 53"***, a documentary about the 1953 Iranian coup d'etat to overthrow the democratically elected Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh. This doc is timely and well reviewed. This documentary won several awards at film festivals, including the Audience Award for Most Popular International Documentary at the Vancouver International Film Festival, and Best Documentary at the MIFF Awards in Italy, and an audience award at the Cinéma Vérité Festival in Iran. It also received a nomination for Best Documentary in the BIFAs, alongside a nomination for a Grierson Award for Best Feature Documentary at the 2019 BFI London Film Festival. She also led flamenco classes at Rey Juan Carlos University from 2013 to 2018. Born and raised in Madrid (Spain), she began studying ballet and Spanish dance from the tender age of nine. Maika studied at Karen Taft Dance Academy and Flamenco Centre “Amor de Dios”, majoring in Spanish Dance at Conservatory of Dance in Madrid. In 2003, she was awarded a certificate in Teaching Methodology Applied to Spanish Dance and then focused her career on dance education. Maika has continued her professional training alongside teachers including Antonio Canales, Alfonso Losa, La Lupi, Rojas and Rodriguez. Maika co-founded the company Spanish Flamenco Tour, based in Miami (USA), a business dedicated to promoting flamenco and Spanish culture, to a local audience. Adding more strings to her bow, Maika embarked on a Master´s Degree in Leadership and Management of Cultural Projects at Institute of Dance “Alicia Alonso”, Rey Juan Carlos University. Her final master’s project was based on the promotion of Spanish dance, receiving a First-Class Degree. Maika’s classes are designed to extract every student’s natural ability to dance and show them how wonderful and fun, this art form is.
