London Bisexuals Monthly Social
Our regular social on the fourth Thursday every month, in a Soho bar. Great for new members; very friendly, relaxed atmosphere, definitely social, fun, and happy; not meat-market, just informal chat and optional drinks from the bar. Come say hi and hang out!
This is our main regular event. All bi+ people welcome (so including pansexual, m-spec queer etc.), plus supportive partners, anyone bi-curious/questioning, and practicing allies - no biphobia, racism, transphobia or other bigotry allowed! If you have extra needs or questions, please get in touch via Meetup messaging/social media.
⚫ Who/what to expect...
Pre-pandemic pub meets were 30-40 people, we're back near those numbers again; there will be a good mix of regulars and first-timers (roughly half and half - always a lot of new faces every time), genders (not too far from an even split of men/women, a few of whom might be trans — of course non-binary people welcome too), a mix of ethnicities similar to or sometimes even more diverse than the London population, and some neurodiversity (not all neurotypical people). The odd couple/+1 too.
This keeps it fresh and friendly to all - regulars chat to new folk. New members won't be the only new person (by a long way) so you shouldn't feel left out. If you turn up after the start and it looks like everyone already knows everyone - it only seems like that; its just how friendly we are. We finish late so we're used to people coming and going all through the evening.
Most people arrive within the first hour, it's busiest at 9-9.30pm but a crowd is around til at least 10pm, often later (sometimes even a handful til closing).
⚫ Social Media / Further details:
We also use Twitter/a little Instagram and a Facebook Page for news, issues, updates and activism from the community in London and further afield. The group accounts are happy to be tagged for bi content but respect individuals' privacy (eg. avoid identifying anyone without consent).
Official events always on Meetup, but links often shared on social media and LinkedIn/our Discord chat server.
Twitter @londonbi / Instagram @londonbisexualsmeetup / Facebook Page and LinkedIn: London Bisexuals Meetup Group (all use our logo).
Links via our campsite bio (bottom of list): https://campsite.bio/londonbi
After the meet finishes (between events), continue the chat via our Discord server (needs a separate account): https://discord.gg/PvZBDVu or official WhatsApp group (ask for invite/check comments here sometimes).
Free Meditation & Yoga on Thursdays in Greenwich @ 7.30pm
Hello there! - We'd like to welcome you to Free weekly meetings hosted by Shalini & Manitu which take place at the:
Greenwich West Community & Arts Centre, 141 Greenwich High Rd, SE10 8JA,
on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm until 9.00pm
With Sahaja Yoga Meditation we normally sit on chairs to achieve yoga, effortlessly & spontaneously. So there is no need for mats and no special clothing required.
All across the globe, many are seeking new sources of energy. Meanwhile, the most transformative energy of all is hiding in plain sight, within us. It's natural, sustainable, and infinitely renewable.
It's called inner kundalini energy. And everyone already has it — everyone!. It is often likened to an inner feminine or motherly energy
which automatically knows about us and what is needed to help us restore balance and harmony within our subtle being. It works spontaneously, effortlessly, organically and cannot be paid for.
Sahaja Yoga Meditation is a simple time-honoured technique that lets you tap into that energy and harness its power to become better balanced and better connected to yourself — emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually
If you're having trouble juggling the challenges in your life, Sahaja Yoga Meditation might well help you manage stress, master your emotions and find solutions to your problems
. You may enjoy better health, better focus, and a deeper understanding of the universe and your place in it.
Meditation is not just for mystics and monks.
Sahaja Yoga meditation is for everyone. Anyone can do it. It's that easy. But with the Sahaja Yoga experience, you'll quickly realise, it isn't your typical Meditations 'R Us type class. It's much more than just feeling peaceful and relaxed. Sahaja Yoga Meditation has many layers, varied and deep. Explore at your own pace, in your own way. Our volunteer experts are always available to help.
Ready to plug into your inner energy? A Sahaja Yoga Meditation class is a great way to start. A few minutes of your life may be all it takes to connect to your inner energy and light the path to lifelong transformation. Sahaja Yoga is more than a temporary solution or quick relief — it is a journey, rather than a destination. It's all about energy — guaranteed pure and carbon neutral. You can never have too much of it.
The best part? All classes are free. No strings, no catch.
Everyone is welcome. Bring a friend, bring your self — all are welcome.
We have a web site here in London too which you can visit for more info about weekly meetings: www.sahajayogalondon.co.uk (http://www.sahajayogalondon.co.uk/)

Lez Hike! Seven Sisters - Seaford to Eastbourne
***Weather is predicted to be reaching 28 degrees on Saturday, so we have a few recommendations for hot weather hiking:***
*• Sunscreen is a MUST*
*• Everyone please bring 2 litres of water minimum*
*• UV protected clothing if possible*
*• Change of socks 🧦*
*• Sun hats and sunglasses*
*• Electrolyte supplements (you lose a lot of nutrients when you sweat so please consider buying some and adding to your drinks for the hike)*
*If anyone has any questions, please DM me or Paty 👍*
Time to hit the South Coast again 😎
The plan:
Meeting at 9am sharp on Saturday 27th June at London Victoria to catch the 9:24am train to Seaford.
Arrive at Seaford station at 10:48am, set off to climb the Seven Sisters cliffs and take in the beautiful views!
When we arrive at Eastbourne, the plan is to have a few drinks at spoons (just opposite the station) and then be on our way back to London. We don't want to be leaving any later than 8pm. Best suggestion is to book a flexible ticket from Eastbourne to London.
**IMPORTANT, PLEASE NOTE:**
Kate and Paty are not professional hike leaders, we obviously won't be ditching anyone, but please keep this in mind! 😂
**The Seven Sisters cliffs are stunning but also potentially dangerous as the chalk cliffs are constantly eroding and can collapse without warning.**
**For your safety, remain 5 metres back from the edge of the cliffs.**
There is the option to book your tickets individually or as a group to get a discount. Whatever you prefer, please organise the train tickets for yourselves based on what works for you. It will be a single ticket from London to Seaford, and then a single ticket from Eastbourne to London.
**Recommended tickets:**
Single from London Victoria - Seaford
Time: 09:24 - arrive at 10:48. Cost £13 but may change.
Single from Eastbourne - London Victoria:
Time: 19:33 - arrive at 21:06. Cost £26.40 but may change.
**FOOD**
Bring a packed lunch, but we will visit the spoons pub in Eastbourne after the hike for drinks.
**DISTANCE & DIFFICULTY**
Distance: 14 miles (22km)
Grading: Intermediate/Challenging
Ascent: 580m
Hiking time: 5.5 to 6.5 hours
**WHAT TO BRING**
• Hiking clothes & footwear - ideally hiking boots. Hat & gloves if cold, waterproof jacket. Sensible clothing basically.
• Sunscreen
• Water (2 litres)
• Lunch
• Optional: dogs can come along! Please only bring if you feel confident of your dog's capability and safety, this will be a long day and we cannot take responsibility for any pets.
**TOILETS**
• We highly recommend to use the station toilets before we set off, there are limited toilets along the way and often very busy as it's a popular hike!

Taiwan Travelogue - London Book Club - Chapters & Conversations
**Taiwan Travelogue by Yang Shuang-zi and translated by Lin King**
*✨Winner of International Booker Prize 2026✨*
*A bittersweet story of love between two women, nested in an artful exploration of language, history, and power.*
May 1938. The young novelist Aoyama Chizuko has sailed from her home in Nagasaki, Japan, and arrived in Taiwan. She's been invited there by the Japanese government ruling the island, though she has no interest in their official banquets or imperialist agenda. Instead, Chizuko longs to experience real island life and to taste as much of its authentic cuisine as her famously monstrous appetite can bear.
Soon a Taiwanese woman-who is younger even than she is, and who shares the characters of her name-is hired as her interpreter and makes her dreams come true. The charming, erudite, meticulous Chizuru arranges Chizuko's travels all over the Land of the South and also proves to be an exceptional cook. Over scenic train rides and braised pork rice, lively banter and winter melon tea, Chizuko grows infatuated with her companion and intent on drawing her closer. But something causes Chizuru to keep her distance. It's only after a heartbreaking separation that Chizuko begins to grasp what the "something" is.

Chapters & Conversations is a space for fiction lovers to connect over great stories and lively chats!
Whether you’re into literary fiction, contemporary novels, or fantasy worlds, we’re here to explore it all together. We’re hoping to meet fellow bookworms who enjoy getting lost in a good story and are open to sharing thoughts, laughs, and recommendations.
At each event, we’ll dive into a chosen book, chat about characters, themes, and twists - above all, it’s about community, curiosity, and a shared love of reading!

Old Compton Brasserie - Dinner Club’s 15th Birthday continues
Our second dinner to celebrate 15 years since Ian set up the original Dinner Club takes us to the fabulous Old Compton Brasserie.
An all-day brasserie in the heart of Soho, committed to bringing to the neighbourhood great food, wine, beer and award-winning cocktails.
Created out of a desire to address the needs of the local creative community, Old Compton Brasserie serves as a drinking and dining destination that boasts a vibrant yet relaxed setting.
A village full of low-lifers and high-lifers, romantics and realists, drunks and dreamers, sex workers and bar workers” (Colin Vaines, The Guardian). While Soho has most definitely been gentrified in recent years, there is still a beautiful mischievousness to it that leaves its visitors with intrigue and inquiry.
Old Compton Brasserie sits upon one of Soho’s most infamous streets, known for its buzzing restaurant and bar scene. A risqué, lively hotspot full of colourful characters ready to celebrate love and life. There is a vibrancy, exoticness, brilliance and an abundance of life that, arguably, you won’t find anywhere else.
And to add to that, Old Compton Brasserie serves delicious food! A perfect venue to celebrate 15 Years of bringing people together for food and fellowship.
Our evening begins with the optional pre-dinner drinks at Village Wardour Street. Join with others from 6pm for the chance to meet, mingle and chat before heading up Old Compton Street to our dinner venue.
We will be eating from the £35pp menu (you can order on the night). As we are a large group, we will be sat on several tables rather than just one.
[Group menu for your information](https://static1.squarespace.com/static/6021eb1cf94c921352b95829/t/69ce37e0e1eec52099961aec/1775122400450/OCB+MENU+GROUP+NEW+APR+2026+%281%29.pdf)
Please note, we maintain the policy of splitting the final bill evenly between the number of attendees.
After Dinner we shall head to The Friendly Society to enjoy some post dinner drinks. This is optional.
So, if you’d like to attend this special celebration, please rsvp. You will need to pay a deposit of £10 plus £1 and other small fees for Meetup/paypal transactions etc. The £10 you pay will come off what you need to pay on the night.
It’ll be great to get this meal full. Let’s meetup and celebrate!
