The hit or Miss in Chatterton Rama’s, bromley, is a micro pub and coffee bar. We’ve been putting events on for quite a while now, with emphasis on fun and conviviality. Several regulars do a floor spot along with a major ‘turn’ ant today we are promised a varied set from Last Exit. There’s free parking down local streets after 2.30pm.

This isn’t an open mic and it’s not a showcase of professionals. These are **proper bands**, rehearsed weekly, guided by music directors, and now performing together on stage. First Wednesday of every month, upstairs at the William Morris Pub. Free entry and house drinks are half price between 6pm and 7pm. We sing three sets of eight songs, plus a few requests. We hand out chorus sheet books to all guests, and get 90% audience participation by way of them joining in singing the choruses. The pub has its own kitchen downstairs and cooks good quality reasonably priced food, which looks good and smells good, just like us. The pub is situated in picturesque Merton Abbey Mills on the River Wandle, only ten minutes walk from Colliers Wood tube station. Gentle people, You are cordially invited to a relaxed and dreamy evening serenaded by the finest guitarists of Guildhall School. There aren't many guitar recitals in town these days, and this is quite a rare event. The repertoire is not set, but expect music by Italian, Spanish, and Latin American composers such as Mauro Giuliani, Fernando Sor, Francisco Tárrega, Isaac Albéniz, and Agustín Barrios. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude.
