Activity: Nordic Walking at Docklands
Where and when: Mondays 10am, Meet at Bellucci Cafe inside Decathlon - Canada Water (https://www.thelodge.cafe/[https://www.thelodge.cafe/](https://www.thelodge.cafe/))
Price: £3 when booking on TicketTailor
Benefits of Nordic Walking:
The fitness and health benefits of Nordic Walking are significantly greater than regular walking, trekking or even jogging, with scientific research from Europe and the USA proving that Nordic Walking:
Activates 90% of the body's muscles
Burns up to 46% more calories than regular walking
Increases aerobic effect by up to 25% compared to regular walking
Decreases load and strain on the lower body
Tones upper arms, shoulders and back muscles
Improves lateral mobility of the spine
Develops core stability and strength
Promotes an upright posture
These benefits are achieved through the use of specially designed poles and a properly learned and performed Nordic Walking technique, whereby the poles are used as a resistance tool to engage the upper body. The result is a low impact, high results, total body exercise.
As a low impact walking exercise, Nordic Walking is something that can be done and enjoyed individually or as a group activity, anywhere a person can normally walk.

Sourcing the Regent's Canal - Urban Hike
Walk length 12 miles/19 km approx. Linear.
This is an epic urban that takes us from one end of the Regent's Canal at Paddington Basin to Limehouse Basin in the East
Regent's Canal was built between 1812 and 1820 to link the Grand Union Canal at Paddington with the Thames at Limehouse as part of a much larger urban plan by the town planner John Nash. After a varied history of water commerce throughout the 19th and 20th centuries the canal finally closed to commercial shipping in 1969.
Today the canal is used extensively for pleasure cruises and leisure with the canal being perfect for cyclists and walkers.
There are a huge number of features on this quite long walk, but some highlights we will try to see along the canal route will be Camden lock, Islington tunnel.
THERE IS THE OPTION TO CUT TO HIKE SHORT ALONG ROUTE.
Please note there may be some canal detours depending on any engineering work or building development.
Walk Cost: £4 cash on the day organizer fee (the host is a qualified London guide). For paypal it is 'colin45@hotmail.co.uk' Please send as friends and family to avoid charges. For bank transfer message organizer.
Lunch and Finish: Bring water, snacks for the walk, we will stop off for an early lunch stop at Camden for about 30 mins, This walk should finish at about 5pm and include pub stop at the end, however the time may be earlier or later than this depending on the weather and pace.
Please keep your 'RSVP' updated for this event as it would help me get accurate numbers, and determine who is turning up for the walk; my phone number is Colin 07709 305681.

London is now a sprawling city of 607 sq miles; however, tonight we'll step back in time to the 0.5 sq miles Roman city of Londinium! We are charged with carrying out a perimeter check of the Roman wall, built in the 2nd century to fortify our bustling commercial centre from marauding Celts and Saxon pirates. En route, we will stop by the Fort to pick up supplies and see the place where chariots from the ends of the empire gather. Please report to Centurion Rayus at the hour of VII where the Flumen Flutana meets the Tamesis (at the Blackfriars North Bank). Loyal Roman citizens may seek refreshment inside the city wall after completion of the perimeter.

Tuesday Social Walk + Optional Topgolf
# Stop Scrolling. Start Living.
Sometimes the best way to meet new people is simple **get out of the house and do something in real life.** With weather still unpredictable, we’re keeping this one simple **we’ll be walking indoor or outdoor at Polaris.**
Most people who attend often come alone. **This is a casual social walk designed to meet new people.**
No awkward networking. No pressure.
Just walking, talking, and good company.
Whether you're new to the group or a regular, this is a great way to **get some steps in, meet new people, and do something different on a Tuesday evening.**
Location
**Polaris Fashion Place**
**Meeting Spot:** Outside or just inside **"Dicks Main entrance"** from parking lot
Look for the **Meetup sign and green or gold wristbands.**
The Plan
**6:45 PM — Meetup / Check-in**
Arrive, say hello, meet a few people, and get checked in.
*The first 15 minutes are usually the best time to meet people before we start walking.*
**7:00 PM — Walk Starts (Sharp)**
We’ll begin a **casual indoor or outdoor social walk around Polaris Mall.**
by the end of the hour we should be near 3 miles approx. 6k steps
**8:00 PM — Walk Ends**
Anyone who wants to keep the fun going can join us for Topgolf.
**Optional Activity** After
We’ll head over to **Topgolf**
No golf experience needed — **beginners welcome.**
**Let’s** **see your best Happy Gilmore swing!!!**
To reduce no-shows and keep events sustainable:
**$2 — Walk RSVP**

Topgolf is **limited to the first 6 paid players per bay.**
If the first bay fills, I’ll open another lane if enough people want to join.
**To keep group sizes manageable and reduce no-shows, this event is limited to paid attendees. RSVP alone does not reserve a spot.**
Use payment link in comments to confirm your reservation.
Even if only 1 person signs up and confirms their rsvp the event will happen!

Paid attendees receive:

• Inclusion in group activities
Why These Events Exist
Wise Unlimited events exist to help people:
• meet new friends
• get off their phones
• **do more things in real life**
Too many people **want to go do things** but **don’t want to go alone.**
This solves that.
**Stop scrolling. Start doing stuff.**
Three Creeks Metro Park
We'll get in around 4 miles at Three Creeks Metro Parks, primarily natural trails. 17-18 minute miles, no one left behind, and faster walkers are free to lead out.
Optional lunch after!
If you're joining for hiking all the metro parks, this is the sixth one!
Hike Blendon Woods Metro Park
Hi ladies. We will meet in front of the Nature Center and head to the two Observation decks. We will then hike Hickory Ridge, Ripple Rock, Overlook and Sugarbush trails to get approximately four miles total distance. We will walk approximately a 18 minute mile pace. Please wear appropriate hiking shoes.
Two For Tuesday : Social walk and Duckpin (option)
**Not everyone will come. That is exactly why you should.**
**Two for Tuesdays** is for the people who actually want to get out and do something instead of just talking about it. We’re kicking off the night with a one-hour social walk before Duckpin Social.
**Expect a laid-back** But an Intentional 1 hour walk (2-3 miles), good people, and a better way to spend your Tuesday than staying home and doing the same thing you always do.
**If the weather does not cooperate, we’ll move indoors.**
**This is a paid event.** A small contribution helps keeps events sustainable and ensures those **who RSVP actually show up.**
Payment **Link Found in comments** or you can pay on Venmo, Paypal, @WiseUnlimitedLLC or Cashapp $WiseUnlimitedLLC.
Walk RSVP **$2**
Walk / DuckPin Social **$5**
Walk / DuckPin Social + 1 game of duckpin **$12**
Please be sure **to Put Event and Event Date** in the note when paying RSVP Fee
