Woodland Cacao - Earth Day special
We are gathering on this evening to honour Earth Day - with a special Cacao ceremony, that inlcudes sacred space & calling te elemental guardians Air, Fire, water, Earth.. and Totemic animal spirits of the UK. Once Cacao is prepared and we begin sipping, there will be drumming & chants to attune to the Earth, open our heart centres and connect to the Heart of mother Gaian (Earth Goddess in greek mythology). We'll then engage in some Eco-magic - sending protection for all wild life, safeguarding the environment, and ending wars and bringing peace! (This magic will be reinforced with magic at our World Peace day Cacao circle on 21st in September!)
* **Help Build altar :** Few of the attendees can help us build altar with logs, foliage, and lights and lanterns, statues brought from home.
**Cacao drinking in Tribal Cultures.**
It is an old tribal practice that works gently in heartcentre and energy openings in people. It takes time to work. It's effects are subtle, and can include a good feeling of wellness, connection, love, gratitude, mindfullness, positivity. So starting with groundedness, stillness, and balance is importrant in order to feel its effects.
**What we do in our Cacao Ritual**
We began Cacao circles in Hampstead Heath, way back in June 2021, with Freya Witch leading them (part of our sister group \`\`London Higher Healing' ) . A new cycle began with our Earth Hour Cacao ritual in March 2025,. Our aim is to hold these in woodland, so as to get closer to the natural environments similar to where tribes would do cacao rituals.
* *\*We are using Organic, Vegan, Ceremonial grade Cacao, grown by the Ashaninka Tribe in Peru\**
* This Cacao circle will have all our usual ceremonial aspects - Sage incense smudging & purifying our selves and altar area, then each person adding a spoon of ritual grade Cacao to vegan-friendly milk - speaking positive intentions for eco-magic. While cacao is heating up, we drum, dance, chant, and movement around the cooker/ cacao, as we raise energy. Then Cacao shared out and drunk by each person.
* Following this, a singing bowl (heart frequency) is used for each person, to allow them to work on their own heart opening; Attendeeds are then led in a short guided pathworking / Journey, and given silent time to explore their inner realms further - and allow insights & visions to appear, as well as energies to gently shift.
* Sharing Circle: Once the Journey has ended, we come together to sit in a circle, have some light snacks to ground, as we share any thoughts and experiences. (sharing is optional).
**\-\-\-\-PRACTICAL DETAILS \-\-\-\-\-**
**What you can bring**
* **What to wear** : Capes, robes, cloaks, tribal attire, masks, flower crowns.
* **For ritual:** Bring Ritual charms, crystals, talismans - to put on altar; also eco-magical banners & art works to add to our Eco-magic. (only affirmations in the positive please.. )
* **Food:** Vegetarian food / snacks welcome (no meat or alcohol). Flowers & lanterns & incense. Bring Picnic for your self, and some Food & Drinks to share if possible.
* **Practical** : Bring ground sheet / blanket or folding seats (for yourself). .Wrap up really warm. Cushion/ yoga mat to sit on. blanket, throw to cover your self..(if it becomes cold).
* ***Optional-*** Drums, rattles, percursion musical instruments; Note books; Lanterns / candles; Your own Cup to drink Cacao from. (we provide reusuable cups).

Woodland Beltane & Maypole dance 2026 (London)
Join us to celebrate BELTANE in the woods.. with a Pagan Ceremony & Maypole Dance. We'll drum, dance, do magic and have a feast. We will collect all attendees at 2pm from the entrance to Queens' Woods (the entrance on Queen's Wood lane), lead all to our prepared Ritual space, and begin our Beltane Festivities.
About Beltane:
At Beltane (May eve) the land is at it’s most lush and green, and fertile. In the God-Goddess myths, this is when the playful God is said to commit to the Goddess – which is symbolised by the Sacred Marriage! The Maypole dance that is traditional at this time symbolises the fertile powers of the masculine, penetrating the land, and the ribbons danced and woven around it lock that power! A ring of flower at the tip of the Maypole signifies the feminine. Magical working with the Fay (Fairies) is an important feature at this time.
We have a Strict NO DRUGS or Substances policy!
If you reserved a space, please BRING CASH for entrance fee (or pay full fee online in advance)
