Come along and join The Nelson Noel’s for an evening of Christmas Carol singing at the Lord Nelson pub, 14 West End Lane, Barnet, EN5 2SA on Tuesday 23rd December from 8pm onwards. The exhibition also explores the British Government’s attempts to prevent documents relating to the conflicts from being published. Its back to old faithful, The Fairlop Oak, for our Christmas Eve drink. I'm starting at 6pm, but there's no problem with you arriving a bit later. For those coming by train, its Fairlop station and turn right to the roundabout where the car park sits. Its also served by seven bus routes - 128, 150, 167, 169, 247, 275, 462. For those driving, there is a lot of free parking a stone's throw from the pub - along Fullwell Ave and it's side roads. See you there.

A walk with PANORAMIC VIEWS over London followed by Boxing day DRINKS. Celebrate St. Stephen's Day with a walk featuring fabulous panoramic views from Primrose Hill and a tranquil section of Regents Canal with its very impressive Mansions. Add in also Regents Park and the famous Abbey Road (iconic Beatles studio and crossing). **WALK START POINT: Swiss Cottage** Tube Station (Jubilee Line). When you get to Swiss Cottage, take exit 2 from the underground station for Eton Ave and Hampstead Theatre. WALK ROUTE: SWISS COTTAGE to PADDINGTON via Primrose Hill and Regents Canal, Park and Abbey Road. WALK DISTANCE: Approx 5 miles. WALK END POINT: Paddington Station (Bakerloo,Jubilee, Circle Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan Lines, National Rail). Afterwards there will be an option to head off to a local bar for something to eat/drink to continue the socialising. **Please note that the meetup point is Swiss Cottage, Underground Station.** The walk lasts approx 2.5 hours, so please wear warm clothing. The walk ends at Paddington Station at around 4.30pm. When you arrive at the starting point look for the Ken's Events Flag. ######## NEW LOCATION ####### We are going to be at The Forge on Bethel Rd this week and until further notice! The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind.
