We'll follow Eagle's Nest Nature Trail, a shaded, gentle loop through mature forest with stunning views over Kowloon and Hong Kong Island, then explore the historic Shek Lui Pui Reservoir before returning to our starting point. It's a relaxing workout with rewarding city-meets-nature views – perfect for a Saturday unwind. Special Note – Monkey Encounters: This trail passes through Kam Shan Country Park, also known as "Monkey Hill." We will almost certainly encounter wild macaques. They are generally calm but please do not feed them, avoid eye contact, and keep food/plastic bags inside your backpack. Who should sign up? This is a slow/moderate paced leisure hike perfect for beginners, families, and those looking for an easy nature walk. It is not suitable for fast hikers as we will maintain a relaxed pace with breaks. The trail is well-defined, mostly shaded, and offers a "quiet forest escape" just minutes from the city. ​​We’ll start from Exit B (street level) Tsuen Wan West MTR Station, running along the lovely Tsuen Wan Promenade. From there, we’ll head along the coast to visit three beautiful beaches in one go: ​Approach Beach (近水灣) ​Ting Kau Beach (汀九灣) ​Hoi Mei Wan (海美灣) ​Our final destination is Lido Beach (麗都灣), offering stunning views of the Tsing Ma Bridge. ​Total distance: around 5 km (Slow and easy pace). ​After the Run: have a Swim! (Optional) ​Once we arrive at Lido Beach, the reward begins! You are more than welcome to jump into the water for a refreshing swim. ​Lido Beach is fully equipped with everything you need to freshen up: ​Swimming platform (浮台) ​Showers & Changing rooms ​Lockers (Please bring your own padlock if you wish to use them) ​What to bring & Reminders: ​​Wear a hat and sunscreen . ​Bring plenty of water ​A light backpack with swimwear, a towel, and a change of clothes is highly recommended. ​Afterwards, we will have a early lunch at Sham Tseng (深井)。
