This a a super friendly route with great stops, a ferry ride and up to 100 Km of riding in the longest route. There is also a lunch at the end with some adult beverages. Free Learn to Skate Clinic Session
We'll be offering a Free Learn to Skate Clinic 10am Saturday next to the Carter Barron Amphitheatre parking lot in Rock Creek Park. We'll cover everything you need to start skating outdoors. Inline and roller skaters welcome; protective gear required (check our meetup group description for details). We have loaner skates and protective gear available. If you need to borrow gear, please contact us at least a couple of days in advance of this session so we'll know to bring it for you. If you need skates, please specify roller skates or inlines and also men's or women's sizes. A note on our start time: * Please be there by 930am if you plan to borrow gear so you have enough time to try things on and make sure everything fits. * Please be there by 945am if you have your own gear so you have enough time to put it on. * The clinic starts promptly at 10am; if you're not geared up and ready when we start, it'll be hard to include you in the session.

Energizing Walk for Busy People!
Join our weekly walking meetup to have fun, maintain a healthy lifestyle, meet new people, and enjoy nature! We meet Saturdays at 10am, by the bike racks and benches 150 feet in front of BUBBLES Hair Salon in Reston, leaving no later than 10:05. Every week we'll walk the Green Trail to Lake Anne Plaza (\~1 mile), pause there for 5-10 minutes (water, bio, and from April-Nov a Farmer's Market), then circle the lake (2 miles) before returning to our starting point. It's roughly 3.5 miles and takes about an hour and a half. Afterwards, some members will often head to a local restaurant to refuel and relax before tackling the rest of the day. This event is open to all ages and fitness levels, and both friends and dogs are always welcome! We recommend dressing for the weather (umbrella, water bottle, snow shoes, hat, etc.) since we'll always walk, rain or shine. By signing up, you accept and assume all risks and responsibilities with this activity, and nobody will be held liable.

Mantra Drum Circle for Rain
Mantra Drum Circle for Rain
Join us to drum for rain! The drum circle will be at the Guru Rinpoche statue at the entrance to the Peace Park, across the street from the temple. We will be chanting sacred mantras as we drum, praying for abundant rain to ease the drought. All are welcome! Please bring any percussion instruments you have - the more the merrier! If you don't have any drums, there are typically extra available. Either way, you can chant along with everyone. In the event of inclement weather, we usually drum as long as we can before the storm starts, or wait it out and start a little late. We hold out until the last minute to cancel so if the weather seems iffy, keep an eye on our Facebook page for announcements. The DC region is currently experiencing moderate to severe drought. Many other regions of the world are also experiencing drought conditions. We will dedicate our prayers to bringing life-giving rain to all who need it!

Thank you to everyone who attended our last meet up. It was wonderful to see you and share ideas on how to make our holistic practices the new normal for our community. Our next meet up will be on May 4th at 7PM at 9255 Center Street, Suite 406. Manassas, VA 20110. The focus of this meetup will be utilizing techniques for Pain Management. We will have a discussion of how we each address dealing with pain in our practices and how we can use these tools to help the community. There will be light refreshments and we will have a further group discussion about how to use this group to create better business opportunities for those in our fields. As we make the holistic approach to health a more common occurrence, we increase our opportunity to making a living at what we do. Please bring another person with you who might be interested in learning more about our practices. Come to the Silver Spring library to play games some chronically ill friends! Members are adults who suffer from conditions including POTS, ME/CFS, long covid, MCAS, rheumatoid arthritis, Ehlers Danlos, multiple sclerosis, ulcerative colitis, autoimmune kidney disease, and more. We usually play a couple casual games, and we also have coloring books. Feel free to bring your own favorite games too! We'll in SMALL ROOM 1 on the third floor of the Silver Spring library, just outside the elevator. We ask that everyone wears a mask. There is free parking across the street in the Wayne Avenue Garage.
