The goal is to send a message to the World Bank Group that a livable planet is not one built on factory farming.
**When**: 12pm-1pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2026,
**Where**: East corner of the triangle of South Murrow Park (Edward R. Murrow Park (south triangle, across from World Bank entrance at 1818 H St NW)• 19TH ST & PENN AVE &, H St NW sb, Washington, DC 20431 US)
**Who:** On-site VSDC host is Max Broad (202-926-5739)
You can also sign up directly with the organizing groups [here](https://actionnetwork.org/events/global-day-of-action-tell-the-world-bank-to-stop-financing-factory-farming/),
**What**: The organizers will meet with representatives from the World Bank Group and deliver a booklet highlighting solutions to factory farming and the need for the Bank to support sustainable, community-based food systems instead. (The organizers will provide signs and shirts for attendees, and capture the attention of people attending World Bank meetings.)
**Why**: The World Bank cannot fulfill its mission to “end poverty on a livable planet” while continuing to use taxpayer dollars to finance the expansion of industrial animal agriculture.

Adult Game Night- Survey Says and more (Online Game Night)
**\*TO ATTEND GET TICKET AT - [https://www.socialevents123.com/event-details.aspx?id=13358#tix](https://www.socialevents123.com/event-details.aspx?id=13358#tix)**
(Multiple Meetup groups are co-organizing so the RSVP's shown are just a very small portion attending. )
This is the ADULT version of our very popular Survey Says game. There is nothing X-rated, but some of the questions would be considered R-rated or involve adult themes.
HOW IT WORKS:
This completely online event will be LIVE and you will be able to see and hear the other participants while playing. In addition you will get to meet and interact with other participants.
At game time, your host will read off several survey questions on a variety of topics. Your goal is to come up with the number one answer to each question and write it down on your paper. Once the round is over (about 6 questions), we will go through the answers and determine who had the highest score for the round. The winners will get a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize at the end of the event. Prizes will be an Amazon Gift card!
HOW DO YOU FIND THE ONLINE EVENT ROOM:
Zoom link will be emailed to you DAY OF THE EVENT.

Join VSDC for Lincoln Assassination Walking Tour & Optional Dinner
On 161st Anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln's assassination at Ford's Theatre, VSDC Life Member Max Broad has invited us join him on a very special walking tour.
See Downtown DC as the conspirators behind the Lincoln assassination knew it--where they scouted out their targets, their hangouts, and their three main attack sites. See familiar sites in unfamiliar ways; take steps around the sites of the Lincoln Assassination.
The walking tour is about 90 minutes, outdoors. FREE
We will meet in front of St. John's Episcopal Church at 1525 H Street, NW at 6:30pm.
After the tour, attendees are invited to an optional dinner at dinner at Wok & Roll--a family style restaurant serving Chinese cuisine that offers ample plant-based dishes. (It would be helpful if you indicate if you are joining the group for dinner when you RSVP.)
**About Tour Guide and VSDC Member Max Broad**
When not leading environmental and animal advocacy with DC Voters for Animals, Max moonlights as a professional walking tour guide. He started this in 2015, giving his first tour to his family on the 150th anniversary of the Lincoln Assassination, and working with DC Tours by Foot since 2017. Originally from California, he fell in love with Civil War history upon moving to DC and seeing the rich history of the battlefields, Gettysburg, Antietam, Appomattox Court House, and others. Every year he likes to do a free "friends and family tour" on the anniversary of the assassination and has invited VSDCers to join him.

Creative Minds Summit: A Place For Fragments
Welcoming back Kecia Deveney for our annual Creative Minds Summit! This mixed media journal is a place for fragments. For what was saved without knowing why. For scraps, thoughts, images, and moments that did not ask to be finished. Nothing here needs to make sense. Nothing here needs to be useful. These pages are allowed to change, to be returned to, or left behind. This book belongs to the act of keeping. In **A Place for Fragments**, you’ll learn how to create a soft, fabric-covered journal using scraps and remnants using cardboard as our substrate; simple, forgiving binding and stitching methods; ways to layer paper and fabric without planning or pressure; how to let materials guide decisions instead of rules; how to work intuitively and trust when something feels complete enough; simple ways to work on inside pages and making an image focal point using resin.
Learn more about this class, your student supply kit fee & list via Artistic Artifacts’ secure online website: [https://artisticartifacts.com/products/cms-place-for-fragments-with-kecia-deveney](https://artisticartifacts.com/products/cms-place-for-fragments-with-kecia-deveney)

**☀️ Not Just a Vision Board — A Mirror**
Midlife isn’t a crisis. It’s your comeback story.
This immersive is built around the **R.I.C.H. Quadrant™**:
• Relationships — who you let in
• Ideal Life — what you actually want
• Career/Finance — how you show up
• Health — the energy that fuels it all
If you’d like a deeper look at the framework, you can preview it here:
🔗 [https://midlifereinvention.co/blog/f/the-rich-quadrant%E2%84%A2-living-with-clarity-in-every-part-of-life](https://midlifereinvention.co/blog/f/the-rich-quadrant%E2%84%A2-living-with-clarity-in-every-part-of-life)
**In under 5 minutes, you’ll uncover your values.**
And when your vision board is aligned with that truth?
It stops being decorative — and starts becoming directional.
People often have multiple “aha” moments during this session.
Not because it’s dramatic — but because something quietly clicks.
***
**🕐 What the Day Feels Like**
This isn’t a lecture. It’s structured, but human. It’s focused, but energizing.
**Morning —** Identify your core values + 2 priority quadrants.
**Midday —** Lunch + intentional networking.
**Afternoon —** Complete the remaining 2 quadrants + short coffee reset.
***
**💻 Laptop Required — Please Ensure ChatGPT Is Logged In Before Arrival 💻**
This workshop moves quickly and works best on a laptop.
• **Laptop required** (phones will not work well for this experience. **iPads** may be used, but the experience is significantly smoother on a laptop.)
• **ChatGPT account created and fully logged in before arrival** (please bring your login credentials with you; free version is fine)
To protect everyone’s experience and keep the session on schedule, ***we cannot pause for account setup***. Please arrive fully prepared.
If you need help setting up ChatGPT in advance, message me after RSVP.
***
**🧠 What You’ll Walk Away With**
• Clarity on which area of life needs alignment
• A personalized AI-powered vision board
• Defined 3, 6, and 12-month direction
• Better prompts to use AI intentionally
• Real conversations with people who are building, not drifting
***
**🥗 What’s Included**

***
**👥 Who This Is For**

“Good Job”: A Conversation on Seeing, Valuing, and Uplifting One Another
Inspired by the song "Good Job" by Alicia Keys, this gathering invites us to pause and reflect on the quiet strength, resilience, and everyday efforts that often go unseen.
How often do we acknowledge the people who keep things moving—at work, at home, in our communities? And how often do we recognize that same perseverance in ourselves?
In this conversation, we’ll explore:
* The power of simple recognition and encouragement
* How affirmation can strengthen resilience and connection
* Ways to create environments where people feel seen and valued
* The impact of gratitude on culture, leadership, and well-being
Through reflection and shared dialogue, we’ll consider how a simple phrase—*“good job”*—can carry deeper meaning when it’s grounded in sincerity and awareness.
Come join a different kind of conversation – one that welcomes every perspective in a search for the underlying truths that unite us all – on seeing, valuing, and uplighting one another.
Join us for an open and respectful conversation where participants can share perspectives, experiences, and insights.
Whether you come to speak or simply to listen, all thoughtful voices are welcome.
