This is one of those routes that truly captivate: stunning landscapes through the Queralt range, cliffs, rock formations and forests. Seguimos bajando los turrones.😀 Bonita ruta paisajística circular desde Vilafranca del Penedés donde pasaremos por su centro histórico,extensiones de viñedos,espacios agrícolas,ermitas y un espectacular mirador.Todo ello disfrutando de las vistas de Montserrat en la lejanía. Distancia: 9km aprox. Tiempo: 2h45m (acabaremos sobre las 13.45h aprox). Dificultad: fácil (casi toda plana con alguna subida) 🏃‍♂️🌳 PLAN: ⏲ KEDADA: 9.30h PASEO DE GRACIA Nº3(ÉS UN PORTAL). ÒSCAR, WSP, LLEVARÉ GORRA ROJA. 🚇 Cogeremos el tren (R4,destino Sant Vicençs de Calders) que pasa por catalunya a las 9.47h.Por sants pasa a las 9.52h y por la sagrera 9.38h para las personas que les vaya mejor estas estaciones. Cada uno se saca su billete. Otra alternativa es comprar el bono recurrent individual de cercaníes (20€) que sirve durante un mes con viajes ilimitados por todas las zonas. 👍 Llegada a las 10.59h a Vilafranca y comienzo. 👀 Aconsejable: estar algo en forma, llevar calzado de senderismo,un litro de agua,gorra,bastones si se tienen, etc.. 😀 Final ruta en la renfe Vilafranca. 🍖 Después para comer haremos pícnic (opcional).Cada uno se trae lo suyo y algo para compartir con los demás. 💰 ESTA ACTIVIDAD TIENE UN COSTE DE 8€ (GUÍA-ORGANIZACIÓN) A PAGAR EL MISMO DIA EN EFECTIVO. Cambio de ruta por condiciones meteorológicas \-\-\- ⛰️​​Brindemos con cava por el Nuevo Año con la familia senderista en lo alto del Matagalls (1697m) 🎉🥂. En esta ruta circular coronaremos una de las cimas más emblemáticas de Catalunya, el Matagalls, a la que llegaremos desde Collformic: una ruta clásica para empezar el año con energía, unos paisajes panorámicos al corazón del Monseny. La geología de esta región nos regala vistas de ensueño al Pla de la Calma, Turó del Home, Figaró, con las que empezar el 2026 🌲❄️​​ (Máximo 15 personas!) **🚗​ ¿Cómo nos desplazamos allí?:** En coches particulares saliendo a las 8:00h de RENFE Fabra i Puig (la puntualidad es fundamental). Sant Andreu Arenal (Bar Vivari), rumbo a Collformic (sin peaje, gasolina: 14€ por coche) 🌊 **PLAN DEL EVENTO**: Aparcaremos el coche y nos ponemos a caminar hasta la cima del Matagalls. Brindaremos con cava en la cima🥂 y comeremos en la montaña . Ruta panorámica al corazón del Montseny. The smart-guided tour is mostly through scenic riverside parks with a quick downtown peek. All of that in 10 miles! 83% of the route is bikeway, and the rest is Google Maps designated "bicycle-friendly roads". This short ride passes through several beautiful riverside parks. Passing through downtown the route runs alongside Huntington Park baseball stadium, Nationwide Arena hockey stadium, near North Market (worth a stop if you enjoy markets with lots of tasty treats), within a few blocks of the state capitol, convention center, art museum, center of science and industry, several first-class hotels, and much more (see Points of Interest list below). Easily, anywhere along the way, the tour can be detoured to nearby points of interest. This smart-guided route comes with CycleNuts' 50% downhill guarantee. Sweating is optional. If your bike has gears, you might use them to climb in a few spots. **History** [Blacklick Woods Metro Park](https://www.metroparks.net/parks-and-trails/blacklick-woods/), established in 1949, holds the distinction of being the first Columbus Metro Park. Its creation stemmed from a post-World War II push to preserve natural areas amid rapid suburban growth. The land, originally farmland and woodlots along Blacklick Creek, was acquired by the Columbus Metropolitan Park Board through donations and purchases. Early efforts focused on basic trail development and reforestation to combat erosion. The park's name derives from the creek, which early settlers called "Black Lick" due to its dark, mineral-rich waters. By the 1950s, it served as a model for the expanding Metro Parks system. In the 1960s, Blacklick Woods expanded significantly with additional land acquisitions, reaching over 600 acres. A golf course was added in 1964, one of the first public courses in the region, designed to generate revenue for park maintenance. Native American artifacts, including arrowheads from the Adena culture, were discovered during construction, highlighting the area's prehistoric use as hunting grounds. The park introduced interpretive programs to educate visitors on local ecology and history. Flood control measures along the creek became a priority after heavy rains caused damage. These developments solidified its role as a recreational hub. The 1970s and 1980s brought environmental awareness, leading to habitat restoration projects at Blacklick Woods. Blacklick Woods is a very nice park, but it is generally flat and not strenuous, so this will be one of the easier hikes that we do. **Where We'll Meet** Drive all the way to the back of the park to the parking lot that is nearest the Nature Center. There are restrooms here next to the Canopy Walk. We'll meet near these restrooms.
