Quiz Room: Gameshow Experience | London 20s and 30s
Quiz Room: Gameshow Experience | London 20s and 30s
**We don’t do boring Wednesdays... and so on 15th April, to spice up your midweek, we’ll be heading back to one of London’s most unique new experiences.** Yep and for this one, we're off to Quiz Room, the high-tech, game show-style quiz that makes you feel like you’ve stepped straight into a TV studio 📺 We’ll kick things off at a nearby pub so you can grab a drink, meet your fellow recruits, and size up the competition before heading to the main event. When we arrive at the venue, we'll be grouped into teams for **a game show experience -** complete with buzzers, lights, music, and surprise twists across multiple rounds 🔔 And over the evening, your scores will be tracked in real time with your team’s results flashing up on the leaderboard after every round - so you’ll know exactly who’s smashing it and who’s going home empty-handed. And if you’re not ready for the fun to end, we’ll head back to the pub afterwards to share war stories and celebrate victories 🏆 **Best of all, whilst this would typically cost £25pp, we've managed to secure an incredible half price discount - meaning the night is just £12.50!** It should be an action-packed night of fast-paced competition but as always places are limited, so do nab your place while you can. **\- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \- \-** **WHERE/WHEN** We will be starting the evening at **The Alice** from 7:15pm for social drinks, ahead of the experience. Please stay with the group rather than hiking ahead independently, as the aim is to connect and share the journey. Participants should choose events suited to their fitness level and be able to maintain the advertised pace. The overall pace will not be adjusted for individuals. A back marker may not always be present, so please keep others in sight and remain within a reasonable distance of the group. To help keep the group together: Faster walkers should wait at junctions. If someone ahead is moving significantly slower, feel free to pass and stay with the main group. Organisers may pause at suitable points to regroup While we make reasonable efforts to keep everyone together, it is not practical or safe to stop frequently for individuals who are unable to maintain the pace. In such cases, participants may need to continue at their own pace. If you choose to move ahead of the group or leave the group structure, you will be considered to be continuing independently and responsible for your own route and safety. If you do so without informing an organiser, it will be assumed that you are managing independently. By attending, you agree to follow these guidelines. **\-\-\-** **EXIT POINTS** Taxis can be arranged from Perry Green and Much Hadham **\-\-\-** **CONTACT** 📞 For pre-event questions, please message the event host via Meetup. On the day of the walk, if required, you may contact [AdrianB](https://www.meetup.com/members/287692462/) via WhatsApp on +44 (0) 7438 812 663. **\-\-\-** **⚠️** **DISCLAIMER** By joining, you confirm that you have read and accepted the group policy on the About page. You are responsible for your own safety. Neither the host nor the group can be held liable for injury, loss, or damage.
🏘️Offline Women Explore Pretty London: Notting Hill
🏘️Offline Women Explore Pretty London: Notting Hill
Join us for our series where **Offline Women Explore Pretty London**, visiting different neighbourhoods to enjoy the most charming pockets of our city only through our eyes. The first walk in this series will be through **Notting Hill**. I am not a tour guide and this is not a formal trek. The idea is to wander and see what gems we can find together. We will look for those secluded mews, undiscovered cafés, tree-lined streets, artisan bakeries, and bookshops that allow you to escape in a huge capital city like London. To keep things truly offline, this is a phone-free and photo-free walk. We live in the most photographed city in the world, but we often miss the soul of it because we are busy framing the shot. We ask everyone to keep their phones tucked away for the whole walk. It is a bit of a rebellious way to explore London, but let’s see how much more we notice when we are fully present for these quiet and gentle moments. There is no set agenda, just good conversation and nice streets. Whether you are a London local or just moved here, come along and wander with us. Just remember to wear comfortable shoes and leave the digital world behind for a couple of hours. This series is inspired by the book [prettycitylondon](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/35888470-prettycitylondon).

Only wear good sturdy shoes, with ankle support, and carry a bottle of water and necessary medication. You need to be moderately fit for this walk and able to walk for at least 8 miles. This walk is suitable for the average experienced hill walker. Expect some hills. Do not attend this walk if you do not fit that description or if you have a medical condition (especially heart and/or lung conditions) that may impact upon your capability of completing the walk. These walks are city walks and countryside walks where all the usual risks of injury during such walks apply resulting from interactions with road traffic, joggers, cyclists, e-scooters,other members of the public, animals (farm, domestic and wild), plants (allergic reactions), uneven surfaces, including portruding tree roots and potholes and there may be low overhanging branches. In these walks we cross busy roads, use towpaths alongside water, bridlepaths, country lanes and sometimes ill defined paths and tracks through woodland, bush and countryside. Some tracks may be muddy and slippery, and conditions may be wet and icy. The walk leader is not and does not purport to be a professional guide, or a medical professional, but is instead a like minded individual who also enjoys hill walking and who is familiar with the intended route. Our gatherings are an opportunity for members and non-members to interact and learn about the many activities offered such as euchre, billiards, volleyball, pickleball, tennis, bowling, golf & softball leagues along with ski and non-ski trips. Our members also plan group activities such as visits to wine tastings, bike trips, comedy clubs, concerts, plays and local sports games, etc. CSC membership is not required to belong to the Meetup group. Membership is required in order to participate in most club activities (CSC member). However, anyone (21 and over) is welcome at our meeting gatherings which consist of checking out our current activities and socializing. Sunday funday: let's play dodgeball at Scioto Audubon park
Sunday funday: let's play dodgeball at Scioto Audubon park
Dodgeball is back again! If you’ve been wanting to come out, this is an easy one to join. We’ll be playing for about 1.5 to 2 hours, you do not need to bring any equipment, and no experience is needed. We use a specific set of rules and equipment to make the games run better and keep them fun for everybody, not just people who already know how to play. If it rains, the event will be canceled.
Summer Social: Let's kick off summer with Adult field day at Shadybowl!
Summer Social: Let's kick off summer with Adult field day at Shadybowl!
We’re bringing back Adult Field Day. Last year was a good mix of competition and just hanging out, so we’re doing it again with some new games mixed in. Think team-based challenges, simple races, and a few things inspired by game shows. You don’t need to be athletic. Most of the fun is just being part of a team and getting to know people you wouldn’t normally talk to. The goal isn’t really winning. It’s meeting people, laughing a bit, and leaving knowing a few more names than when you showed up. If you stick around after, we’ll have a potluck, a bonfire, and a couple comedians in the evening. Bring: * Something to share for the potluck * Clothes you can move around in A small contribution helps keep events sustainable and ensures those who RSVP actually show up. Include your Meetup name + event name in the note. Please send $2 per person to guarantee your spot. Venmo (preferred) or PayPal @WiseUnlimitedLLC Actual links in comments below!
