**SUMMER SOCIAL 🥳** **Hi! If you don’t already know me, I run a local women’s walking group called Walk With Virginia. We usually do 1–2 walks a month around West London — think riverside walks, markets, coffee stops, pub socials and lots of lovely conversation along the way 😊** **I’ve decided to put together a Summer Social this time… so NO walk involved 😂🥂** **It’s basically a chance for current walkers and anyone curious about joining us to come along, have a drink, relax and get to know the community in a really easy, welcoming environment.** **The group is super friendly and inclusive and the age range is generally around 30–65. A beautiful 9 mile walk by the stunning River Arun with an extended lunch stop in Arundel - so quaint with all its antique shops , castle and cathedral too ! Let's go with the flow ! Group return train tickets shall be purchased as from 9.30am for the train at 10.17am that arrives at Ford at 12.02pm. Train ticket : Ford return. Or you may decide to drive. We shall set off immediately from Ford train station. Please bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and wear boots, walking shoes or trainers. Meetup fee : £8 payable in cash or £6 by Saturday in advance by bank transfer, details supplied upon request. No PayPal. Please use the toilets on the train as there is only one toilet at Ford and it is generally closed. We shall have a drink at an beautiful riverside pub in an iconic location between Arundel and Amberley. Train back from Amberley at 5.58pm. Please join Columbus Tea Lovers for a tasting of loose leaf teas at a private residence in Worthington. (The address will be sent out via private Meetup message a day ahead to those who have RSVP'd.) June 20th is the Worthington Arts Festival so feel free to attend that event which is down the street in addition to the tea party. For this tasting please bring a tea or tisane (an herbal brew that contains no tea leaves) does not come in a prepackaged tea bag. You can feel free to bring it pre-brewed in a carafe or thermos; please leave out the milk and sweetener as we will have some on hand to mix and match. We will have the kettle on and fillable single serve disposable tea bags if you would like to bring the tea leaves unbrewed and extra tea cups on hand as well. We welcome you to bring snacks or desserts that are you enjoy pairing with tea. You can bring a chair if the day is nice in case we sit outside. There is a cat in the house, so be aware in case of allergies. If you want to write in the chat what you plan to bring so we don't have a lot of the same thing, please do so!
