**On Wednesday 4th February, we're excited to be hosting our latest FREE Board Games Night, exclusively for 20s and 30s.** Yep that's right - for one-night only, we'll be transforming Costa from a regular cafe into a Board Games Cafe. We've booked out the whole venue near Southwark and bringing our usual fantastic collection of some of the most popular games that you’ll be able to choose from. From classics like Exploding Kittens and Codenames, social deduction games like Werewolf and Chameleon, to party games like Dixit and Scrawl, you’re sure to find something you’ll love. On top of this, you're also welcome to bring your own games that you love or have been excited to play with a group, providing they are short, easy to learn and accessible games. If making new connections on a crazy golf course sounds like your cup of tee, this event will be a hole lot of fun! We’ll gather a group of golf-loving guys and girls for a round of introductions on this creative, London-themed course. Our host will welcome you at 19:30 and introduce you to the other guests. You’ll then have the chance to grab a drink from the bar before we get started (we highly recommend the G & Tees!). Once ready, you’ll be teamed up in mixed groups of six as you hit the course for the first few holes. Midway through, our host will mix up the teams to make sure you get to show off your stylish swing to as many fellow guests as possible. After completing the 9-hole course, we’ll gather in the arcade for some nostalgic games like pinball or Pac-Man. For those handy with a cue, we can pair you up for doubles in a round of pool. It’s all about fun icebreakers in a retro-themed bar to keep the conversations and good times flowing. This week’s **Yay!-DHD Social** is at \*\*Mercato Metropolitano (\*\*42 Newington Causeway, London SE1 6DR), which is large, gently heated space (thankfully!) full of snack/dinner options you’ll think about ordering for an unnecessarily long time before choosing something you immediately defend as “the right call, actually”. This is Yay-DHD: a midweek social that reliably attracts people with ADHD, people who suspect they might have ADHD, and people who’ve simply noticed that most socials feel like admin with drinks. You do not need a diagnosis to attend, everyone is welcome! **What to expect:** Starts at 6.15pm, ends around 10pm, obviously come and go as you please. We are a social group, so fairly easy going and chatty. Don't worry if you're a newbie, we all were once and I (Kieran) know it can be nerve wracking to attend for the first time - It will be ok! We’ll be eating, drinking, talking, interrupting ourselves, losing the thread, finding a better one, and occasionally stopping mid-sentence because someone else’s food looks more interesting. Some people arrive straight from work looking mildly haunted. Others drift in later having almost stayed home. Everyone will, at some point, forget what they were saying. Mercato is ideal for this sort of thing. There’s movement, background buzz but not noisy, and enough going on that wandering off mid-conversation looks deliberate rather than rude. If you go quiet, it just seems like you’re thinking. If you leave early, nobody questions it — they’re too busy choosing between eight cuisines. If you’ve been scrolling Meetup wondering which event requires the least amount of social performance, this is probably the one.
