Transforming sex to Eros - a talk on tantra, community and transformation
Transforming sex to Eros - a talk on tantra, community and transformation
**Transforming from Sex to Eros: Life Inside a Tantric Spiritual Community** An intimate evening exploring spirituality, yoga, community, sexuality — and what it actually looks like to bring tantric practice into modern life. This event marks the launch of *MISA: Inside Out – 15 Years With the Black Sheep of Yoga*, a first-hand account of life inside one of Europe’s largest and most controversial spiritual movements. After 15 years immersed in this world, Kieran Dowling shares insights drawn directly from lived experience. These practices often make headlines, but are rarely explored with any real depth or nuance. This evening offers a more grounded, less sensational look inside. In conversation with former BBC reporter Stuart Maister, we’ll explore: * what daily life inside a spiritual community really looks like * tantric practices and the process of initiation * the balance between guidance and personal autonomy * why people are drawn to these paths — and why they stay The second half opens up into an honest, open Q&A — a space to ask about topics that are usually kept at the edges. **A note:** we’ll aim to touch on all of the above, but the conversation will be organic rather than scripted — so we’ll follow what feels most alive in the room. Light refreshments will be served, and copies of the book will be available on the night. **Places are limited to keep the evening intimate — RSVP required.** **[SECURE YOUR SPOT](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1987331158994?aff=oddtdtcreator)** Filming or recording is not permitted.
WARM Hatha Flow yoga
WARM Hatha Flow yoga
To book Www.Barefootyogaandtherapy.com Hatha yoga is practiced at a slower pace, with focus on the breath, controlled movements, and stretching. Hatha Flow is a class composed of creative sequences to create continuous movement, based on the poses that are practised in a more traditional hatha class. It differs from vinyasa flow in that there are typically fewer "plank - chaturanga - up dog" transitions.

Puppy cuddles yoga and playtime
Puppy cuddles yoga and playtime
Practise yoga while the cute puppies roam acround you… A typical puppy yoga class will have approximately 8-10 puppies with around 15 participants and the puppies can range from 8-14 weeks old. Puppy yoga classes involve having puppies roaming from one mat to the next, leaping on participants, and tussling with other puppies as you try out different yoga poses. Often pups are incorporated into some of the yoga poses or they happily roam free throughout class. All puppies are borrowed from a local breeder and we find the breeders from websites such as Kennel Club or Pets4Homes. On some occasions, Puppy Yoga gives the puppies an opportunity to be adopted, if they haven’t already found their forever home. The puppies get the chance to be around other people (not just their breeder) which enhances their socialisation. In the first 3 months of a puppies life it is very important to expose your puppies to different people, new environments, sounds and smells. Puppy yoga is a safe and fun space that aids with our puppies socialisation. Interactions with animals, especially puppies, has been proven to be extremely beneficial to our mental wellbeing. The hormone oxytocin is released, in both dogs and people, when puppies interact with someone they like. This provides stress relieving physiological benefits. Barefoot Yoga
Yoga Nidra DEEP RELAXATION
Yoga Nidra DEEP RELAXATION
To book: www.Barefootyogaandtherapy.com Intro offer £39 for one month of unlimitedee classes Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation”. It’s usually practiced lying down with a teacher guiding the session. The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis) – the breath balances and becomes quiet, unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness. As we rest here, we can turn our attention easily and effortlessly to the very nature of awareness and consciousness. We start to experience the ‘deeper’ features of yogic teachings that previously we perhaps considered intangible, such as feeling our interconnected wholeness and becoming aware of our true, unified nature – expansive, inclusive, and deeply restful.
