Geburtstag des Volksmärchensammlers Alexander Afanassjew gefeiert. Das Treffen des Sprachklubs wird den von ihm gesammelten russischen Märchen gewidmet sein. Die Teilnehmenden lernen eine Vielzahl von Geschichten kennen – sowohl bekannte als auch ungewöhnliche, diskutieren die Abenteuer der Helden – Wolf, Fuchs, Bär und andere Tiere – und natürlich auch Baba Jaga! Die Gäste des Sprachklubs werden außerdem darüber nachdenken, welche Einsichten diese Märchen über das Leben und menschliche Eigenschaften vermitteln können. Die Teilnehmenden erwarten spannende Diskussionen und ein Eintauchen in die zauberhafte Welt des russischen Volksmärchens.

It is an improvisational dance developed in Cuba, where each dancer enters alone and shows their individuality.** **It combines fast, intricate footwork with sharp shoulder movements, constantly shifting in tempo and cadence. But Columbia is about more than technique — it is about presence and dialogue. **3 Teams, 3 Hours, 3 Songs** 🔴 ⏯️ Find your next collaborators and learn how to make a song together in one day. **Exclusively for FLINTA\*** **(only for Women, Lesbians, Nonbinary-, Trans-, Agender People).** Join us: **Saturday, June 20** **15:30-18:30** **House of Music (343 Labs, 2nd floor)** **What to expect:** Up to **12 people** gather in **3 teams** working on a song together. This guided songwriting sprint will give you the opportunity to exchange ideas and **get creative**. At the end there will be 3 songs and a lot of new connections. As a challenge, everyone brings a field recording of that day to be incorporated into the songs. This can be the sound of your coffee machine, the noise of a subway passing by or your baby crying, bring what moved you on that day. Together we will exchange the sounds and see what the 3 teams create out of it. **What you need to bring:** \- Laptop with your favorite DAW \- Ableton Live\, Logic Pro\, etc\. **(!)** \- a field recording from that day on your phone/flash drive/etc\. \- openness to expirement in a team of people you have not worked with before \- extra gear if you want to **Speakers and midi keyboards provided for 3 teams.**

The topic for June is "Roadtrip" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome.
