I've updated this event:

What: New Years CAMPING @ Fisheating Creek

When: December 30,[masked]:00 AM

Where:
Fisheating Creek Campground
7555 US Highway 27 North
Palmdale, FL 33944
[masked]

Deadline to RSVP is midnight Tuesday December 22

LET'S GO CAMPING!!

I've got the 4 best sites on the creek booked for Wednesday - Sunday! Come on up for one night, two, three or four. We are flexible and will work out the details.

If you don't have a tent or gear.. NO Problem just let me know, I still have room in my tent and a spare small tent also.

Fisheating Creek is one of the prettiest creeks in Florida, it is located about an hour drive from Fort Myers at Colonial Blvd and I-75. Take SR80 to Labelle and turn left on 29, which runs into 27, turn left and the campground is about 1/2 mile up on the left.

We are planning another fun long week-end! We will be kayaking, fishing, playing games, sitting by the campfire, relaxing in the hammocks and just enjoying the beauty and nature of the creek. There will be lots of great food including some of our specialties of tenderloins, special omeletts, s'mores, pudgy pies, biscuits cooked over the fire and of course good ol' camping food of burgers, hot dogs etc. There is a beautiful lake with a swimming area if it is warm enough.

The last I heard the creek looked high enough for some good kayaking but since it is rain fed lets hope for some rain again before New Years. I love this campground because we can kayak right from the campsites. Since there is a full moon New Years weekend a night paddle will be in the works.

I have sites P4, 5, 6, & 7 on the creek reserved for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights.

These are tent sites and are quite large, parking is right at the sites. They do not have power or water but the bathrooms are close by. The campground allows 2 tents and 6 people per site but we have not had a problem stretching this a bit in the past. Especially if people do not plan on staying the whole weekend. We will split the cost of the sites depending on how many nights everyone stays. I am not sure what the current cost of the sites is, last time it was $15 per site per night but I have a feeling the price may have been raised since it is not listed on their site. I doubt it will be more than $20 per night per site. Whatever it is, it is a bargain!

I will send out a food sign up list shortly. If anyone has any menu suggestions please let me know.

Please answer the RSVP questions of your plans and update if they change.
