**Let’s spend an hour laughing together at a stand-up comedy show in San Francisco! 😂** The name already says it all — **[Cheaper Than Therapy!](https://cttcomedy.com)** The show takes place at the historic **Shelton Theater**, right in the heart of Union Square in San Francisco. It’s easy to get to, with plenty of parking options nearby. The lineup changes every time: usually **2–3 new comedians**, a couple of familiar faces, and the show always closes with its producer, **Scott Simpson — and he is always hilarious!** I suggest we meet **15 minutes before the show at the bar**, grab a drink, and get to know each other before it starts. 🎟️ It’s better to buy your ticket in advance, but you can usually get one at the door as well. I’m making this a **regular Meetup event**, although I won’t always be able to attend myself. When you arrive, just tell them you’re with the **Meetup group**, and they’ll seat you together. This event consists of an informal concert in which the performers are all of us! We'll take turns singing Broadway show tunes. All musical levels are welcome, whether you're an aspiring musical theater star or just someone who belts out show tunes in the shower. If you feel shy about singing a solo, it's okay to come and listen. We'll also do some group singing. Please think ahead and pick one or two solos you'd enjoy singing (this is not a firm commitment, you can change your mind if you get the jitters). Depending on how many people choose to sing, you'll either get to sing one or both of your songs. We don't usually have an accompanist, so after you pick your song(s), you can search for a suitable accompaniment on YouTube.
