Comedy and Free(ish) Food at Union Machine Works!

Comedy at a quirky factory with a musical house band to kick off the evening, followed by a large amount of comedians from all over the Bay Area for FREE, and ending the night with another round from the live band! WE HAVE CHEESE ENCHILADAS and they're banger as fuck, and light drinks available for an extra cost! SPECIAL HOUSE BAND starring SHEENA from @sheena.lokelani.music! Bring your own beer, wine, food, and we're 4/20 friendly, just come as yourself and bring a smile! And maybe a light jacket ;)

Come Sing Show Tunes!

This event consists of an informal concert in which the performers are all of us! We'll take turns singing Broadway show tunes. All musical levels are welcome, whether you're an aspiring musical theater star or just someone who belts out show tunes in the shower. If you feel shy about singing a solo, it's okay to come and listen. We'll also do some group singing. Please think ahead and pick one or two solos you'd enjoy singing (this is not a firm commitment, you can change your mind if you get the jitters). Depending on how many people choose to sing, you'll either get to sing one or both of your songs. We don't usually have an accompanist, so after you pick your song(s), you can search for a suitable accompaniment on YouTube. Welcome to the fun!!! Here are all the details: Step 1.) It’s easy to get to, with plenty of parking options nearby. The lineup changes every time: usually **2–3 new comedians**, a couple of familiar faces, and the show always closes with its producer, **Scott Simpson — and he is always hilarious!** I suggest we meet **15 minutes before the show at the bar**, grab a drink, and get to know each other before it starts. 🎟️ It’s better to buy your ticket in advance, but you can usually get one at the door as well. Let's Improvise: Improv Dojo - Oakland Improv Class

The Improv Dojo is a place to do improv. It is a chance to play, explore and develop. We explore scene work, theater games and related acting exercises. It is part drop-in class and part practice session. The Improv Dojo is for improvisors ready to explore . Beginning and experienced improvisors welcome.
