Sketchbook: National Portrait Gallery

Trying out something a bit different this week. Let's sketch inside the National Portrait Gallery! (Ive changed this from a Friday night late to Saturday instead) This is by far and away my favourite gallery in London so this one should be special :D Let's meet outside the entrance to the gallery at 13.00 I'll wait outside for a bit for any stragglers and then we can all meet again back outside at 15.00. Maybe we can grab a drink at the lovely Marquis pub afterwards! Nearest Tube Stop: Leicester Square/Charing Cross Completely free of charge, no need to sign up, bring a friend! Feel free to drop in for the whole two hours or just short while if you'd prefer. Look for the tall ginger fella sketching away as the central meetup spot, but feel free to roam as far and wide as you like and sketch anything you damn well please! No payment, no pressure, no need to sign up, just show up and draw for a couple of hours. All levels, abilities and professions welcome, bring a friend! Zero pressure to interact, network, impress in any way, this is just a way to get out and about and appreciate the joy of urban sketching and all the weird and wonderful creatures that inhabit this thriving metropolis. I am a storyboard artist working in animation and I am happy to discuss sketching techniques or give feedback on any work but this is by no means an exclusive event for artists, all are welcome :)

Sketchbook: Alexandra Palace

Let's sketch Alexandra Palace! Bit of a schlep to the outskirts of town this one but totally worth it for the views of the city and the utterly stunning venue that is Ally Pally! Meet outside the main entrance in the car park. Nearest Train Station: Alexandra Palace Completely free of charge, no need to sign up, bring a friend! Feel free to drop in for the whole two hours or just short while if you'd prefer. Look for the tall ginger fella sketching away as the central meetup spot, but feel free to roam as far and wide as you like and sketch anything you damn well please! Please bring your own sketchbooks and pens/pencils. The plan will be to meet at 1pm, sketch for a couple of hours and meet back and chat at 3pm. Este es un meetup para conocer y conectar. con hispanohablantes que gustan de expresarse y relajarse dibujando o coloreando en un espacio relajado.✨ Ofrecemos material básico para que puedas dibujar pero te alentamos a traer material con el que te sientas más a gusto. Summer Sketching at Battersea Park

Join us for a Sunday afternoon in June ☀️ ✨✍️ Welcome 🥾✨ This event is suitable for all, from total beginners to experienced artists. It is a welcoming space to ask others with help on composition, perspective and shading. Please bring your own sketchbook and materials of your choice - from pencils, biros and markers to charcoal, pastels and paints. Feel free to bring your own food and drink. We could also check out the local cafés ☕️ 🪷🦜About Battersea Park 🦜🪷 This 200 acre Victorian park, is considered one of London’s finest parks! It was built between 1854 and 1870 and sits on the banks of the Thames of South West London. Let’s explore the riverside promenade, large lake, many notable trees and ecological areas! 🚂 Getting here 🚌 Let’s meet at Chelsea Gate, which is located on Queenstown Road, just south of Chelsea Bridge. The closest overground train stations are Battersea Park Station and Queenstown Road Station. Both have a short walk. Sloane Square is the nearest underground station. From the station, walk down Lower Sloane Street and Chelsea Bridge Road, or take a 137 bus. Bus numbers 44, 452 and 137 alight at the Chelsea Gate bus stop.
