🐦🌿 🏰 Early Bird Walk in Chorin+Monastery
Sun, Sep 6, 6:23 AMHey all, Let’s discover a bit of Brandenburg — this time we’re heading to **Chorin**! 🌿🌊 📍 **MEETING POINT:** Berlin Hauptbahnhof, downstairs at **Platform 6** (normally the platform for trains towards **Stralsund Hbf**). 🚆 **TRAIN CONNECTION** I’ll take the RE from **Berlin Hauptbahnhof at 08:23 AM**, direction **Stralsund Hbf**, and arrive in **Chorin at around 09:12 AM**. 🎫 **The Deutschlandticket is valid for this train.** 🌅 **EARLY BIRD EVENTS** I like to start my events early to avoid the crowds and traffic. The nice thing is that we’re usually back in Berlin around midday, so you still have plenty of time for the rest of your day. ℹ️ **IMPORTANT:** I’ll be taking this train, so if you choose a different connection, please use the DB app to find the best option for you. I won’t be able to coordinate or provide individual support for alternative connections. 🥾 **THE WALK** From Chorin station, we’ll start our walk together. The route is around **10.5 km**, so you’ll get a good **10,000 steps** in for the day. 🌳 The walk is relaxed and social — we’re there to enjoy nature, have some good conversations and meet new people. 🌿🍃 🏰 **CHORIN MONASTERY** The beautiful historic **[Chorin Monastery](https://www.kloster-chorin.org/)**[ (klick) ](https://www.kloster-chorin.org/)is located along our route, so we’ll have the opportunity to stop there and visit it. 🎟️ Entrance is **€7** if you want to go inside. Visiting the monastery is completely optional — you can also continue the walk or simply enjoy the surroundings. 🥪 **FOOD & BREAK** Bring your own food and drinks. We’ll take a break about halfway through the walk to relax and have something to eat. ☕ **AFTER THE WALK** After the walk, we can relax at the historic **Chorin railway station**, where there is a small café if you want to grab a coffee or something to eat — or you can simply enjoy your own food. 📍 **CHORIN RAILWAY STATION:** [Click here to see the location](https://maps.app.goo.gl/giWSfjTnPXFxfaRJ7) ⏰ **RETURN TO BERLIN HAUPTBAHNHOF** There are trains back to Berlin every hour. For example: * **12:43 PM** → Berlin Hauptbahnhof **1:29 PM** * **1:43 PM** → Berlin Hauptbahnhof **2:29 PM** You can decide which train works best for you. 🤝 **A SMALL DONATION IS APPRECIATED** I have to pay for the Meetup membership, which costs me **€20 per month**, and a small contribution helps cover these costs and keep the events going. Looking forward to exploring Chorin with you! 🌿
