Norfolk Seal pups, Britain's most magical wildlife spectacular!

It is this time of the year again and I am taking you on a journey into a world of cuteness where not carrying your camera will not be allowed. LET'S GO SEE THE BABY SEALS! ATTENTION, BOOKINGS WILL CLOSE A WEEK BEFORE DEPARTURE AND IT IS ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS as this trip is limited to 12 people. Due to the popularity of this trip I have decided to do it again. Norfolk is THE place where you can see one of Britain's most fantastic show; the grey seal breeding season. Norfolk holds the world's two largest Atlantic grey seals colonies and I am taking you there. You will be able to observe at often just a couple of metres away the 7000 seals that come to these sandy beaches every year to give birth to those gorgeous white furry creatures. You will not get enough of it, believe me. We will be able to observe seals of every ages from the tiny few hours old white pups, to the full fat adolescents and up to the big males who weight hundreds of kilos and who will be fighting a bit further down on the sand. Volunteers will be there to answer all our questions and to keep us from getting too close to those beautiful creatures, often unsuccessfully as those cubs being of a curious nature will approach us often far too close to inspect us. The seals will be the highlight of or trip but will not be our only journey as we will hike the dunes of Norfolk which are home to a pair of barn owl and where shorties spend the winter. We meet at 08.00 am at Liverpool Street station, and off we go, we should be back in London by 9.30pm. Due to other commitments, I can only do this one trip to Norfolk this year so book your spot asap if you want to see the cutie balls of fur. As always we will grab a meal at the end of the trip before we head back to London with a few hundred photos. I have a professional camera and will share it with you. We will not rush for this trip, we will stop for plenty of photos so if you are coming for a hardcore hike I would not recommend. There are no dogs allowed on this trip I am afraid for obvious reasons. Attention, this is a whole day out, we should be back after 9pm, I cannot change the train time. TRANSPORT: VIA train and bus (about 3 hours) COST: £ 75 I tried to keep it as cheap as possible but the train prices went up as well as buses and in this case my costs too. The fee is refundable up to 2 weeks before departure and non-refundable after that, but you may resell and you can try to find someone to take your place. MAJORCA mountains and coast, a long weekend of hiking and winter sun

Jon is going abroad again and you are coming with me! Let's go to Majorca Before travelling there for the first time a couple of years ago, I really, really was not interested. I usually do not like places famous for holidays. And then I travelled there in November, and what a shock! This island is a marvel with incredible beauties, the architecture is outstanding, imagine these perfectly clean beige houses, churches and cathedrals that seem to be a natural extention of the nearby mountains and beaches. Imagine as we take an early morning bus on our first day and arrive in an exquisit town between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountain range, we start climbing slowly for about an hour, walking through the cobbelstone streets of an ancient mountainous village before we reach for the mountain top where we are likely to be welcomed by some of the few hundreds of vultures with their over 2 meter of wingspan flying right above our head or one of the many booted eagles that inhabit the area. And the food, I know you are a foody like me, so,... let's not even mention it. The hikes are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. And the best thing, close to no tourists in autumn! How amazing is that? I travelled around the island under 20 degrees in late November and only saw one other hiker... and a sheperd who caught me in a very embarassing position... I might tell you the story if I dare... This is now my 10th trip abroad with my hikers and I got to learn that putting too many difficult hikes in a trip is too much, so this time, there will only be 1 semi-demanding hike which will be on day one. the hikes after that will be easier and I might even give you some alone time to enjoy yourself. DAY 1: Depending on what time we arrived, we might take a visit of Palma de Majorca before diner and enjoy a walk in the forest that surrounds the capital. DAY2: This is the big hike day, we will take a bus to the beautiful town of Soller. We will climb to the mountain top, through an amazing village for some amazing views of the coast and mountains. The hike is quite demanding so we will take our time and have a good rest on the top while waiting for the vultures and eagles to come and say hi. The way back down will be as beautiful as we descant alongside a beautiful gorge. DAY 3: On our third day, we will wake up a bit later and head for a coastal hike that I still need to choose from, the views as you can imagine will be spectacular no matter which one I choose... You will then have free time before we head for our last diner in Majorca. DAY4: Depending on our flight time, we might just enjoy the hotel pool or have a nice walk nearby, but by experience, I know that people usually like to rest on day 4 of a hiking trip. PRICE: About £470, TBC, without food (Except breakfast) and flight, I will need to work it out. 1 night in a hotel is about £100 per person. FLIGHT: I will give you plenty of time to book your flight and they can be cheap as long as you book in advance. AUTUMN COLOURS HIKES PART 3: Leith Hill

It's Autumn, it's romantic, it is still sunny, the woods are slowly changing colours so let's get sweaty in these beautiful woods and climb a few hills along with some doggy and dodgy friends! If you don't have a loved one to enjoy the colours of autumn, well, take your dog or your friends so that you have someone to cuddle... This is going to be the first edition of a few hikes where you will be able to bring your dog or your dodgy friends or where you will be able to hike with these lovely pets if you do not have one, obviously if you are allergic or if dogs worry you, I would not recommend. BUT for those who just want a nice hike with some lovely hikers and their furry friends, this is the one you want to join. People have been asking to bring their dogs for quite a while now so why not give it a go?!Our lovely Zoe is a regular puppy on our walk and everyone is crazy about her. I am not expecting hundreds of dogs so this will just be a non-pets discriminatory hike with some gorgeous woodlands dressing up slowly for the autumn... You do not need to have a dog to join this trip though but only need to love them or at least not have an issue with it as there will be more hikers than creatures... Leith Hill is the second highest point in Southeast England, I will walk you through woods, more woods and some woods till you get sick of it! It is beautiful though, take you boyfriend, your wife or your fiance and enjoy a time in the forest by my side! Woodlands in the UK are absolutely stunning, it sometimes feels as if you were in Canada or other beautiful places. When we reach the summit, you will be able to climb Leith Hill Tower, an 18th Century Gothic building for a small fee, if you wish. It is claimed that on a clear day, you will be able to see 13 counties from the hilltop. Come on, let's burn some calories before Christmas or just use this trip as an excuse to gather together and have some fun in the woods not too far from London. This hike is not hard but there will be a couple of short steep inclines, most of you should be fine😄 INFORMATION: Distance:12 miles/18km Difficulty: Average, a couple of steep hills to climb MEETING POINT: 08:15 am by the ticket office in the main hall at London Victoria station. COST: £17 via PayPal for the guide's fee The fee is non-refundable, but you may resell and you can try to find someone to take your place. About £12 in cash for the train. Doggies travel for free, your dodgy friends don't. 🦭 Hike to Atlantic Grey Seal Pups – Britain's Wildlife Safari

The seals in Norfolk are truly one of **Britain's most special sights**. Without any doubt, they're an incredible WOW factor and one that you must see! On this day hike, we'll walk along the top of the sand dunes and enjoy stunning panoramic views across the North Sea. On our way, we'll pass the much-loved **Atlantic** **grey seal colony at Horsey Beach**, which draws thousands of visitors each year, particularly between November and March, when the seals come ashore to breed. There are literally **hundreds and hundreds of seals and their pups** stretching for as far as the eye can see! The whole walk is in the **Broads National Park** – one of fifteen national parks in the UK. You'll discover its iconic windmills, navigable waterways and broads (man-made, shallow lakes). With over 125 miles of lock-free waterways, the Norfolk Broads have more miles of waterway than Venice or Amsterdam, and are an extremely popular boating holiday destination! Locals like to call the Broads “the Venice of the East”. 💪 This walk is **suitable for all abilities** – it is almost entirely flat and done at a very gentle pace to allow us enjoy the nature and take plenty of pictures. **HIKE HIGHLIGHTS** * Watch seals and their young from a close distance at Horsey Gap, home to one of the biggest colonies of grey seals in Britain. * Take a gentle stroll over the vast open expanse of the golden sand dunes of Winterton Beach – a Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest. The area is a veritable haven for birds and all kinds of wildlife and is widely regarded as having the best sand dunes in Norfolk. * See the spectacular Horsey Windpump – the youngest and largest windpump in the Norfolk Broads. It was built in 1912 to pump water out from the surrounding land so that it could be used for farming. * Discover Horsey Mere, often regarded as one of the most beautiful of the northern broads and famous for its internationally important wildlife. * Walk the newly opened stretch of the England Coast Path – a new National Trail around all of England's coast, which once completed will be the longest coastal walking route in the world (4,500 kilometres in length!). **DISTANCE & DIFFICULTY** Distance: 6 miles (10km).
