Sun, Oct 11, 8:30 AM**Let’s open the autumn gravel season this Sunday** For our first weekend excursion this Sunday, we're taking a beautiful, easy point-to-point ride through the forests of Brandenburg. We'll take a quick train up to Eberswalde and ride south through the Biesenthal Basin—including a scenic loop around Hellsee—before finishing right at the Bernau station. We’re gonna bike roughly 50km at a chill pace :) Here is the full plan for the day: **The Terrain & Bikes** We are sticking strictly to hard-packed forest roads, fine gravel, and paved paths. You do *not* need a specialized gravel bike for this. Sturdy city bikes, trekking bikes, and hybrids are completely welcome and will handle this route perfectly. (We just recommend leaving the skinny-tired road/racing bikes at home for this one). **The Schedule** * **10:30** – Meet up at Berlin Gesundbrunnen. (I will post the exact platform in the comments on Sunday morning!) * **11:00** – Catch the RE3 train north to Eberswalde. * **11:45** – Start pedaling! * **14:30 – 15:00** – Arrive in Bernau. We can grab a drink or snack near the station. * **15:30** – Jump on the S2 or RE3 straight back into the city. Lento goes to Potsdam - Gravel Cycling from Berlin to Potsdam 🍂🌳 (Rescheduled)
Sat, Oct 17, 7:00 AM**Rescheduled**!!! 🚲 **Lento to Potsdam — Bikes & Cheesecake** Fall is here, and the forests are beautiful! A little escape from Berlin! We'll meet at Brandenburger Tor around 9 AM and ride to Potsdam, taking the scenic route and stopping for lunch and a snack along the way. Once in Potsdam, there's a very good cheesecake spot waiting for us. Priorities, obviously. 🍰 For the way back, you've got two options: take the train back to Berlin or ride the full route back by bike. I'll probably cycle back, so feel free to join if you're up for the extra kilometres. As always with Lento, the route isn't set in stone. If you have any ideas, suggestions or feedback, they're more than welcome. This is a group ride, so let's shape it together! No racing, no pressure — just bikes, good company and cake. Ultimate Frisbee in the Park - Weekend edition
Sat, Oct 10, 11:00 AMHi everyone. We'll meet and play a relaxed game of ultimate in Volkspark Rehberge if the weather cooperates. Our games focus on having great team play, where the teams work together to advance the disk down the field. It's more important to work well together as a team than have a few star players get a point with lucky shots. For this reason, players of all skill levels (especially those who have never played) are welcome to join Bring plenty of water, shoes you can run in and comfortable clothing that can get a bit dirty. Although we're an established group, newcomers are always welcome. After the game we try to spend some time together and have fun. Finding us: We meet in this big grassy area, it's a short bike ride from the subway stop Rehberge on the U6 or Amrumer Strasse on the U9. It can be a bit tricky to find the first time, so we've got a few methods to help out (don't trust the meetup map pin, it often shows some point in the park, not the exact spot where we are) 1. Bouldering Session
Sun, Oct 11, 3:00 PMHave you always wanted to learn bouldering but never had the right company? Or are you an experienced boulderer who just wants to find boulder-buddies? If yes, this is the right event for you. We are going to meet inside "urban apes Basement Boulderstudio", close to S Anhalter Bahnhof, also not far from Potsdamer Platz. If you have never been there, you will need to sign up with them, which will take a bit of time. After that, **you can find us on the couches near the lockers (not in front of the reception), next to a red smiley**. When you enter the actual gym, enter the hall by turning left immediately - you are walking towards them. We will start warming up around 11:10, so everyone has enough time to arrive and get changed before that. ***\*\*\**** *Spots are limited, so please update your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance if you won't be joining. **NO-SHOWs ARE NOT COOL \*\*\**** We enter the gym at 11:00, if you are late, you will need to look for us inside. IMPORTANT: they only accept cards as a payment method. No cash. One day ticket will cost you 13,90 EUR (10,90 EUR if you are a student, free if Urban Sports Club). **What to bring: well, first of all, a good mood.** But you could also bring * climbing shoes if you have any. If not, you can rent them there, no worries. They cost 3,50 EUR. * a lock (for the locker). * chalk. You won't need that if you are a beginner. Renting is possible. * water. * extra clothes. It's quite chalky there and humans sweat, not the best mix, don't you think? :D Please, note: the organizer is not responsible for anything, including injuries. A basic introduction will be provided.
