Sunday Gathering: Sharing Our Peace Corps Journey–Bringing Our Experiences Home

Matt and Jen Tully spent 15 years living and working overseas in places like Armenia, Cameroon, Myanmar, Nepal and the Philippines. Their journey began as Peace Corps volunteers and has included roles in education and social work both in the US and abroad. Join us as Jen and Matt share about the experiences that led them to feel at home here at our Ethical Culture Society. This Gathering is at the meetinghouse and on Zoom. Sunday Gathering: What's Wrong with the Immigration System?

Michael Wildes has advocated for immigrant rights and systemic change for decades. He has up-close experience as a prosecutor, immigration attorney, state advisory panel member, and mayor of a diverse city, Englewood. Those roles have given Wildes, the author of two books on immigration, unique insight into the problems and promise of our current immigration system, as well as possible solutions. Eritrean and Ethiopian cuisine is known for its richly spiced stews and vibrant vegetable dishes, traditionally enjoyed with injera, a soft, tangy flatbread made of whole-grain teff and barley flour. Guests will enjoy a three-course, whole food, plant-based meal prepared exclusively for our group. The fixed price of $44 includes your meal, drink, and gratuity.
