WEATHER DEPENDANT At this point in time, next Sunday looks ok. but if the weather changes, this event could be POSTPONED UNTIL A LATER DATE Just a random coffee meetup outside kerekere cafe in Fitzroy gardens. Come and grab a coffee and/or snack. due to the size of the group We usually meet OUTSIDE the cafe on the left under/near the big tree. Just a friendly way to meet others that might be by themselves or new to Melbourne. Just a very casual and laid back vibe. You may come and go as you please Please be respectful to each other and be careful about sharing personal information. This is NOT a dating meetup, just friends. Disclaimer: the organizers are not responsible for any loss of property or injury incurred at a meetup. We are volunteers who simply provide a platform to make friends. Please be responsible for your belongings and safety. Also these outdoor meetups are weather dependent too. We all know how unpredictable Melbourne can be Looking forward to meeting you and probably seeing some old faces too. I'll be bringing my toy poodle Zeke 🐕 see you there 🤗😎👍

Community Conversations: Education for the Mind and Heart

Community Conversations: Education for the Mind and Heart

Fri, Aug 21, 9:30 AM
From Community Conversations
4.8

Education is about more than acquiring knowledge. It is also an opportunity to develop the qualities that help us navigate life with purpose and compassion. Building on a previous program on the theme of education, join us for an evening to explore how a deeper perspective of education, and spiritual development, has the potential to shape lives in lasting ways. The evening will begin with a brief presentation by Andre Pitts, an educator with decades of experience in Melbourne schools, who will share his reflections on the theme. Community Conversations provides a warm and inclusive space for meaningful discussions, and to spark positive initiatives in our neighbourhoods. This will be followed by shared group consultation, where we can explore the ideas together, along with time to connect, socialise, and enjoy light refreshments. This is a free event and all are invited to attend.
