A Walk on the Commons & a Proper Chat

Our second gathering. Nothing fancy. No agenda. Just a walk on Putney Common with good people and honest conversation. We'll meet outside the Windmill Museum by the car park [Wimbledon and Putney Commons / car park entrance], walk for as long as it feels right, and find a lovely spot to sit if the weather cooperates. Which it may or may not. The local cafe is always a great option after the walk. London Psychedelic Community: Sunday Park Day – Nature & Connection

Clifton Nurseries, & lovely walk along the Regents Canal to Kings Cross.

This a new walk, and is well worth doing, and is 6 miles approximately. We will meet at 11 am, for a hot drink at the cafe in Clifton Nurseries near Warwick Avenue Undeground Station. (This is a lovely Garden Centre and well worth visiting.} After our hot drink at 11.30 am, we will walk along The Regents Canal and to The Ice Wharf for a latest lunch {or bring our own}. With Camden Town Underground less than 10 minutes away. For those that would like to walk further, we can walk to Kings Cross and have a drink in The Parcel Yard in the station. £ 7 meetup fee required {please have the right change}. Join our weekly Walthamstow Meetups and play some games with us! **💜Everybody Welcome:** We meet up every week to play a bunch of modern board games, card games and party games in pubs. London Society WALK - Clapham Park

With this particular walk, we will be walking through the entirety of Clapham Park. This beautiful park is surrounded by Clapham, Balham and Brixton however, it offers a blend of historic charm and modern urban living. After this walk, we’ll be heading to Tawa Roti for Trinidadian food if you wish. Tawa Roti is one of the few places that not only offers authentic Trinidadian cuisine but it feels as if you’re eating homemade food cooked by mum and dad. With this particular chill event, we will be settling in the inner circle gardens of Regent’s Park. The inner circle has some beautiful botanicals and some lovely greenery to settle on which is really ideal for relaxing, having a picnic and even being amongst good company. There is a small twist to this. Since summer is approaching, we may have some island music playing in the background to enhance the ambiance. Columbia Road Flower Market via Brick Lane, 4 miles

* We will meet outside the Hamilton Hall Pub, Liverpool Street Station, Bishopsgate Exit. * We will then make our way via Spitalfields and Brick Lane, where we will explore the history and diversity of East London with truly amazing street art photo-ops, a part of the London Mural festival. The road is also a home to numerous independent Victorian shops. * We will then proceed to Columbia Road Market, which is London's principal flower market devoted to selling plants, flowers, garden fittings and gardening equipment. We will reassemble at the end of the market. * We will then return via Hoxton and Spitalfields to Liverpool Street station. Optional drinks/lunch at the end of walk at Hamilton Hall (Wetherspoons). If people prefer street food from the Brick Lane market, or indeed from the famous bagel shops, they can always join us for a drink at the pub later. The walk is free for members who have subscribed for an annual membership. For other members the fee is £5 cash/card on arrival to contribute towards the organiser's Meetup fees and costs. The annual pass option is £15 payable by cash/card on the day. This will provide access to at least 40 walks per year (members are welcome to bring a guest to each event).
