A Walk on the Commons & a Proper Chat

A Walk on the Commons & a Proper Chat

Sun, May 24, 1:00 PM
From Burned Out & Coming Home

Our second gathering. Nothing fancy. No agenda. Just a walk on Putney Common with good people and honest conversation. We'll meet outside the Windmill Museum by the car park [Wimbledon and Putney Commons / car park entrance], walk for as long as it feels right, and find a lovely spot to sit if the weather cooperates. Which it may or may not. The local cafe is always a great option after the walk. Good food, good drinks, good company. **Bring:** šŸ‘Ÿ Your walking shoes 🧄 Layers — it's the Commons, not the Maldives 😌 Yourself, exactly as you are *If you're nervous about coming alone — so is almost everyone else. That's rather the point of this group.* **Details:** šŸ“ Wimbledon Windmill Museum ā±ļø Around 1.5 — 3 hours. We meet at 2pm. šŸ’š Free — always P.S. Meetup limits us to 10 attendees. If the list is full, please join and RSVP via the Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/comeasyouarelondon If you struggle to find us on the day, you can reach us here: https://chat.whatsapp.com/FesYohtzxGRLLTqiise1Y4?mode=gi_t I look forward to meeting you all šŸ¤—

Have you ever wanted to get together outdoors and chill out amongst good company whilst being immersed within nature & amazing weather? If so, then this is the right event for you. Welcome to another one of the CHILL events where you have the opportunity to settle in the parks, form friendships, socialise, have a picnic and so much more whilst being immersed within the luscious greenery, botanicals and the gorgeous weather.

With this particular chill event, we will be settling in Kensington Gardens. Kensington Gardens is another royal park which offers some beautiful greeneries and botanical gardens within. It is also a soothing place to relax and socialise. Depending on the aura and if the event goes well, we may do an aftermath and let democracy decide. My fellow explorers, if you enjoyed the event, I’m more than happy to accept any donations which of course are optional but will go a long way to help me unlock and deliver even more exciting and engaging events and resources: https://www.paypal.me/calvinjoy

WHAT - Chill at Kensington Gardens
WHERE - Kensington Gardens
WHEN - 6pm - 9pm
MEETING POINT - Kensington Gardens
NEAREST STATION - Lancaster Gate Station
REQUIREMENTS - Just your good behaviour is all and whatever is listed above for the walk. Maybe bring your ID if we do an aftermath. Disclaimers: Please be on your best behaviour and respect one another. This group doesn’t tolerate any misbehaviour and misconduct. Should such a thing take place, you will be removed. If you ask a question that either already has the answer to it or doesn’t relate to the event at all, I won’t respond. Whenever an event takes place, I will cut off contact 20 minutes after the event commences. If you message even 1 minute after the cut off time, I won’t be available as I’m conducting the event. There will be photography and videography by myself so if you are photo conscious and/or do not want to be in the video, do kindly inform me and I’ll try my utmost best to not involve you in the picture. Frequently asked questions

Meetup connects people with shared interests through local or online events. You can discover groups in your community and participate in activities that interest you, like community gardening.

Community garden meetups are groups where gardening enthusiasts meet to cultivate green spaces together, share knowledge, and enjoy the outdoors. It's a chance to learn, collaborate, and connect.

You can search for gardening groups on Meetup by selecting your location as London and choosing gardening as your interest. This will show you available events and meetups nearby.

Yes, you can join as many groups as you like! Meetup allows you to participate in various communities, so feel free to join multiple gardening groups and explore different gardening experiences across London.

You are not required to attend every event. Meetup is flexible, allowing you to join activities that fit your schedule. Enjoy gardening meetups when you have time without commitment pressure.

Absolutely! Many community gardening events welcome beginners. These meetups offer a friendly place to learn gardening basics from more experienced members while enjoying the social aspect.

Having landscaping or gardening skills can be beneficial, but they are not necessary. Community garden meetups are inclusive to all skill levels, inviting novices and seasoned gardeners alike.

It's best to check with the meeting organizer. In some meetups, bringing your own seeds or plants is encouraged, while others may have plans to provide all materials needed for the event.

Meetup itself does not organize events. It provides the platform for group organizers to arrange their own events, so the quality and frequency depend on the hosts in the London community.

This varies by meetup. Some may offer family-friendly events, while others might be adults-only. Read the event description or contact the organizer to confirm if children are welcome.

While many meetups are free, some may have fees for materials or venue booking. Review the event details on Meetup for any costs and what they include before RSVPing.

While engaging with people through activities increases your chances of meeting like-minded individuals, it may take time. Participate actively to enhance your community experience.

Not all interests have active groups in every location. In London, availability of community gardens depends on existing groups and events scheduled by organizers in different areas.

Meetup focuses on group activities, not one-on-one coaching. However, by joining groups, you might find members who can offer advice and guidance in a community setting.

Event frequency can vary depending on the organizer and group size. Some groups may meet frequently, while others schedule events less often due to availability or seasonality.
