If you've never played volleyball but want to learn, start playing, and add a fun new hobby to your list, this event is the perfect place to begin! **What to expect:** We will warm up and then host will demonstrate the skill of the day and run drills to practice the skill. Afterwards we will play and host will be assisting the attendees to correctly implement the techniques they just learned. Level: Beginners Cost: Free Field Type: Outdoor grass Notes: 1. If you can, please **bring a volleyball ball** and write your name on it. Make good on your resolution to walk more in 2026! Walk past six scenic ponds in Burke. See the forest blooming with beautiful spring flowers! See turtles basking on rocks or amazing yellow iris rising straight out of the water! Wind thru picturesque neighborhoods and past well-kept homes that are so welcoming and friendly! Trails featured are 7 or 10 km (4.2 or 6.2 miles) and have some elevation gain. Walk cost is $2, but those wanting AVA event credit pay $4 (correct change appreciated). Dogs and children are welcome but those under 18 must have a guardian present. Meet in front of Cafe Rio, 6003 Burke Centre Parkway, Burke VA 22015 by 9:45 am so we can leave by 10:00 am. Look for walk host Sandy Koontz. Afterwards we can have a drink or lunch at Cafe Rio. Max: 20 people (10 per team) We will like to have 10 men/10 women. Time to remember the school days and hopefully have fewer pulled muscles. Come hang out, meet new people, and play some social kickball with us! The host will bring the ball, and the bases are already on site - just bring: **Water** **Shirts** \- 2 Shirts \(1 random color and 2 white color\) **Good vibes** and a sense of **fun** All skill levels welcome. Whether you're competitive or just here for laughs, you'll fit right in. We will play 2 games, each lasting 30 minutes. We will take 10 min to make teams(random) and explain the rules. Please only sign up if you are going for sure. Attendance is really important. Having recent no-shows will get you out of this event. See you on the field!

Social Sips & Bites family, Memorial Day weekend is calling and we’re bringing everyone together for a fun, relaxed picnic celebration with the SSB crew. Expect great food, sunshine, music, laughter, and that amazing Social Sips & Bites energy we all love. Bring your favorite dish to share with the group and your favorite drinks, and get ready for an afternoon of mingling, new friendships, and good vibes all around. This is the perfect chance to kick off summer with our incredible community. Contribution: $5 to help cover park setup and supplies.
