**Unlike traditional romance, weāll also be going to morbid lengths to help her resurrect this corpse through a few madcap scientific experiments š**

AnimanJapan Anime & Manga Club!
If you love anime & manga then please join us for our weekly meetups, where we basically just sit, chat and read anime & manga!
We usually sit in the back of the pub. If the weather is nice we may sit outside at the back of the pub, or even outside on the downstairs floor.
In this meetup, you can BYOM (bring your own manga) or read one from the selection we will bring. See this as an opportunity to discover, recommend or simply enjoy Japanese comics & anime with like-minded people!
Note: This is not a book club.
Also, the TCR bar is kind enough to allow us to use their space to host this meetup, and has asked if possible for attendees to support the venue by purchasing a drink or food while you're there. Please don't bring your own food or drink to consume at the venue, as the venue does not allow this!

Beginners' Watercolour Animals
A relaxed, beginner-friendly watercolour animal painting class focused on creativity, connection, and confidence
**Beginnerās Watercolour Animal Painting Class**
This relaxed and welcoming class is all about enjoying the process of painting animals in watercolour, whatever your experience level. Itās a gentle, step-by-step session designed especially for beginners, but equally loved by painters whoāve attended Annās classes before and want to build confidence, refresh skills, or simply enjoy some creative time. Expect a calm, friendly atmosphere where questions are encouraged.
Painting together is as much about connection as it is about technique. Thereāll be a break midway through with refreshments, giving you time to chat, share work-in-progress, and get to know others who love watercolour just as much as you do. Many students find these sessions deeply therapeuticāa chance to slow down, focus, and enjoy a few hours of creativity in good company.
Youāll be guided through clear demonstrations and supported throughout, with the freedom to work at your own pace. You can follow along with the class reference during the paint-along, or bring your own animal image if youād prefer. By the end of the session, youāll leave with new skills, a finished painting, and (hopefully!) a few new creative friends.
**What weāll cover:**
* Creating soft, believable fur effects in watercolour
* Painting lively, expressive animal eyes
* Drafting animals using simple shapes and easy proportions
* Using special effects such as salt and ādropping inā colour to create texture
* A guided paint-along demonstration
* *or*: bring your own reference image and paint that during the demonstration time

No prior training or martial arts experience is required, the class is completely non-contact and suited to all levels of fitness. Come and join us every second Sunday for a strong work out - most weeks be pop to the local pub/cafĆ© for a quick coffee or cake (and letās be honest, sometimes both!) Classes are for ladies only.
Back ground Info: Taisoken Sword Fitness has been developed and is led by Jeff Humm, who has been studying studying the use of the Japanese sword for over 45 years together with other traditional martial arts. He holds a Masters degree in Traditional Japanese Martial Arts and a 7th Dan in Japanese fencing (Kendo). The movements are authentic cutting actions, some dating back more than 3 hundred years when your life depend on how well you wield the Sword. By taking authentic Japanese sword movements of attack and defence, these actions have been formulated into practice routines which work and sculpt the full range of the bodyās muscles.
Additionally the routines require participates to focus and visualise their actions leading them to seeking perfection in application which in turn empowers the mind and develops greater body and mind equilibrium. The Japanese sword is sharp and slender, renowned and admired across the world for its beauty and image; those that can weld it effectively are held in great esteem and revered. They are resilient and tranquil, with poise and grace they move without effort, mind, body and sword as one.
