โWalking the Singapore Story โ Water, Nature, Heritage and Resilience.โ
Join us to walk the Singapore story. ๐ธ๐ฌ
From Marina Barrage, where courage and vision turned water scarcity into resilience, we journey through Gardens by the Bay, a living reminder that Singapore can grow into a true City in Nature.
Along the way we pause at Clifford Pier, remembering the forefathers who arrived with little but hope, building the foundations of the nation we now call home. Passing Fullerton and Esplanade, we see how far that journey has brought us โ a vibrant global city shaped by resilience, unity and care for one another.
As our walk ends, we gather to continue Dr Marie Ang self-care sharing starting with the sensation of Touch at AU office โ a reminder that caring for our body, mind and community gives us the strength to continue their legacy.
Because when we care for ourselves and each other, we can all stand up for Singapore and keep her story strong for generations to come. ๐ธ๐ฌ

Beach Tennis in Singapore? Try it for yourself
Most people in Singapore havenโt tried beach tennis yet โ and honestly, thatโs part of the appeal.
Itโs fast-paced like tennis, social like volleyball, and played barefoot on sand. You donโt need prior experience, and the learning curve is surprisingly quick.
Beach tennis is big in Brazil, and itโs now starting to pick up in Singapore. Sessions are run by Pacific Beach Tennis Academy, which is Singapore's first dedicated beach tennis academy.
If youโre looking to:
โ try a new sport without pressure
โ meet people in a more relaxed setting
โ or just switch things up from your usual workouts
this might be worth checking out.
Sessions are beginner-friendly, and all equipment is provided.
If youโre keen or have any questions, feel free to message Luke at 8950 0295.

Our Thirty-Fifth Walk!
Hello everyone!
Place to Meet: Paya Lebar MRT Passenger Service Control Centre (East West Line)
Time: 5pm
1\. Dinner at Paya Lebar MRT
2\. Walk along Tanjong Katong/East Coast/New Upper Changi Rd/Chai Chee before ending at Bedok North
The route may be modified during the walk to better suit the groupโs pace and fitness levels. The organizers will make adjustments as needed to ensure the walk remains enjoyable and manageable for all participants.
Do drop me a message via whatsapp or via meetup if you will be late.
You may consider the following:
1\. Comfortable Clothing
โข Moisture-wicking fabrics: Avoid cotton, as it traps moisture and causes chafing. Instead, choose clothing made from materials like polyester, nylon, or merino wool, which keep you dry.โฉ
โข Comfortable socks: Opt for moisture-wicking socks with cushioning to reduce the risk of blisters.
2\. Proper Footwearโฉ
โข Well-fitting shoes: Ensure your shoes are properly broken in and provide enough support, especially if you're walking long distances. Sturdy hiking or walking shoes with good arch support are ideal.โฉ
โข Blister prevention: Consider blister-resistant socks or pack blister pads to address any discomfort before it becomes a problem.
3\. Hydrationโฉ
โข Water bottle: Stay hydrated throughout the walk to maintain energy levels and prevent dehydration.
4\. Snacksโฉ
โข Energy bars or trail mix: Portable, nutrient-packed snacks high in carbohydrates and proteinโperfect for refueling during breaks.โฉ
โข Nuts or dried fruit: Easy to carry and great for providing long-lasting energy.
5\. Umbrellaโฉโข Umbrella: Bring one in case of rain to stay dry and comfortable\.
6\. Optional Gearโฉ
โข Tissues or wet wipes: Handy for personal hygiene or cleaning your hands after eating or drinking.
7\. Small Backpack or Waist Packโฉ
โข Use a small, comfortable bag to carry your essentials. Ensure it fits snugly and doesnโt rub or chafe over time.
Disclaimer:โจBy participating in this walk, you acknowledge and accept that you are responsible for your own physical well-being.
Please exercise caution while walking, and listen to your body.
If you feel unwell at any point, please inform the organizer and discontinue participation.
Walking involves inherent risks, including the potential for personal injury. Powell Gold Star Referral Club Meetup
We meet at lunch each week and each meeting follows a fairly organized agenda. First all participants pass their business cards around. Then each member and guest is invited to give a one-minute overview of their company and what is a perfect referral for the week. We always have a 10 minute presentation from one of the members about their business in more detail. And finally we pass referrals. You're welcome to visit. Nobody is ever put on the spot. Bring plenty of cards!
Alum Creek Trail Hike
Joins us for a 3 mile hike this Friday evening along the beautiful Alum Creek Trail. This fully paved trail is pretty flat and winds along Alum Creek. We will travel 1.5 miles south along the trail to a scenic bridge before turning around. Hope to see you Friday!
