Gentle end of the week â half hour only - Online exercise class and chat after
This exercise session is aimed at people over 50. Our exercises are gentle but effective. There will be no floor exercises in this session, but you can expect to work hard!
Not exercised for a while? Painful knees or hips? Or just like to end your week with some gentle movement? This class will be a great place to start. No fast, jerky movements, but this will still be a good workout for all levels. Beginners and experienced participants are equally welcome.
We will combine chair exercises with standing exercises, designed to strengthen your muscles to help support your joints and improve your balance and flexibility.
We will end this session with a chat, just making time to check in with each other and discuss the week and the weekend ahead.
⢠ca 1.5x1.5 meter space to move around.

My rates
10 session card: My normal rate is ÂŁ89 for 10 sessions. (different rates apply for my Parkinsonâs classes)
Pay monthly: Sign up for unlimited sessions per week, for a flat rate of ÂŁ70 per month if paid monthly in advance.
Pay What Works:
The price shown above is the âtrueâ value of the session that best reflects the work I put into preparing and leading your session. However, I understand that not everyone can afford to pay full price, and I donât want that to stop you from joining us.
In an effort to find a balance between more financial accessibility and sustainable pricing, I now offer a âPay What Worksâ model. This allows for financial flexibility while still valuing and respecting the work and energy I provide in creating and delivering these classes.
You tell me what you would like to pay:
For your new payment, please let me know if you are happy to pay full price, or if you would like a reduction
Please send an email to ailien@fitandhappyoutdoors.com with the heading âINVOICE pleaseâ-
followed by âFAHO 1â to pay full price as quoted below, âFAHO 2â, for 20% off, or âFAHO 3â for 50% off.
And please tell me if you want to pay for 10 sessions, or if youâd like to pay monthly.
I prefer payment by bank transfer. At the moment I do not accept cheques. The queues by the banks are just too long.
When you sign up, I will send you the link and the password you will need to join this session!
Like many others my work has been severely affected by the Corona quarantine, when it stopped my normal work from one day to the next. As I am self employed, I have no other means of income. By joining this class you help me pay my bills, and I appreciate that enormously!
Qigong Cultivation for Anti-aging & Longevity (Cross posting)
What is Qigong? Qi (aka chi or ki) is often translated as "energy" or "breath" and Gong (aka gung or do) as "skillful work." Qigong can be said to be work that we do to become skillful in cultivating life force energy. This energy is not imaginary, but rather the fundamental bio-magnetic energy that flows through all of nature including each cell of our bodies.
This energy can be come blocked, inefficient, out of balance, excessive or deficient. Through mindful movement, breath and visualizations we can begin to restore this energy to a more fluid, or if you will, "youthful" state and begin to cultivate this life force energy.
The top medical schools in the country have been doing extensive research into the benefits of Qigong and Tai Chi. Harvard in particular, puts out articles nearly every month about the health benefits of Tai Chi:
https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/the-health-benefits-of-tai-chi
This is an ongoing class with the exercises cycling through and harmonizing with the 5 seasons of the Taoist energy calendar, so newcomers and beginners may join at anytime.
We are currently working on Wood/Spring protocols
Classes are online through Zoom while we are under orders to stay home.
Classes are $17 drop in. Please RSVP.
8 class sessions $120
I can invoice through Square or I accept payment via Venmo, Paypal, or Zelle.
This is an ongoing class with some attendees who are not be members of meetup.

Join us virtually for an hour + of writing using Zoom. Let's keep together as much as we can during these uncertain times and keep on writing. Look for the schedule online and join us.
Weâve discovered that itâs strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if itâs true for you at 3pm on Friday afternoon. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.

3. If you are late, you won't be able to intro with us, but you are still welcome to join in.
4. If you won't be able to make it, please cancel so that the space is available to another writer.

CBusData - Highlights and Hidden Gems in SQL Server 2025
Highlights and Hidden Gems in SQL Server 2025
With so much emphasis on cloud data platforms and AI these days, SQL people can feel left behind by all the marketing hype. SQL Server 2025 was officially released in November of 2025, though, and contains a ton of improvements that will make our SQL Server deployments a bit faster, better, and more secure. There are even more improvements tucked into the release that never made a marketing blog or press release that you'll likely be learning about for the first time in this session!
Join this session to learn about what makes your high availability a little more available, your performance a bit more performant, and your database more developer and app-friendly. Come spend an hour with SQL people talking SQL Server 2025 â the good, the "not quite ready for prime time", and the hidden awesomeness.
