Ready to get outside? Our Thursday morning session in Dulwich park is back! At this moment we can meet with up to 30 people (of more than two households) to do outdoor exercise and walks. However, i like to keep our exercise groups small, so I have set the maximum participants at 12. For now this walk is for our experienced Nordic Walkers only, who already used to Nordic Walk with us regularly before Covid 19 kept us indoors, and who have their own Nordic Walking poles. As this session is outdoors, we will not ask you to wear a face mask, but we do ask you to keep 2 meters apart. Some of our walkers might be immune compromised or more at risk, so please help us keep everyone safe! Please do not come to the session and stay at home if: - you know you have been in contact - in the last 2 weeks- with someone with symptoms of possible Covid, or if you have been in contact with someone who tested positive. - you have any of the following symptoms: (new) Loss of smell/taste, Persistent cough, Fatigue, Loss of appetite, Skin rash, Hives, Fever, Severe muscle pain, Shortness of breath, Diarrhoea, Delirium, Abdominal pain, Chest pain, Hoarse voice, Eye soreness, Sore or painful throat, Nausea or vomiting, Headache, Dizziness or light headedness We meet by the cafe in the middle of the park. Session Price: £10 per session, £89 for a 10-session card or £70 unlimited sessions per month. We’re a long‑running group that’s been meeting since **1998**—long before meetup sites existed. Over the years we’ve hosted celebrity meet‑and‑greets, attended conventions together, run role‑playing games, organised cinema trips, LARPs, and plenty more. These pub meetups are all about socialising and connecting with other Sci‑Fi and Fantasy enthusiasts. To help break the ice, we’ll be running a fun **team quiz at 8.30pm**. Let's go with the flow and do this wonderfully varied 10 mile coastal walk ! Please arrive by 9.50am so as to buy group train tickets for the 10.23am train that arrives at Benfleet at 11.25am. Train tickets : Return to Southend Central. Or you may decide to drive. Please bring packed lunch ( or have fish and chips in the pub ), water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and walking shoes or trainers. If you decide to have fish and chips at The Peterboat please make a reservation for 1.30pm - 01702 475666 - and then place a comment on the event page stating whether it's a table for say 2, 4, 6 etc You should be able to walk at 2.5 miles per hour and have adequate and appropriate insurance for this type of activity. The walk shall commence by 11.40am. We shall first walk along the estuary to Leigh on Sea - visiting the remains of Hadleigh Castle along the way. We practice, dance, and enjoy a BYOB bottle of your favorite wine at the Dublin Ballroom off Sawmill, North, and “milonga” is a social event for tango dancing where dancers socialize.
