American Mahjongg — Open Play & Free Lessons
**Due to the popularity of the event, registration for free lessons and the support table are required at [https://luma.com/dcmahjongg](https://luma.com/dcmahjongg).** We do not use the RSVP system on Meetup.
**A drop-in game every Tuesday at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Central Library, located at the corner of 9th and G Streets NW.**
The Gallery Place Metro station (9th Street entrance) is located across the street. Street parking is available.
We play in the Great Hall -- as you enter the library, we are on the right of the room.
**All skill levels are encouraged to participate.**
Lessons for new players (as needed) at 6:00pm. Please arrive on time.
Games for all skill levels begin at 6:00. Games wrap up at 8:00.

Add some fire and flavor to your hump day with a DCGG gaming happy hour at Fat Pete’s BBQ in Cleveland Park.
Fat Petes has long been a friend to the DC Nerd Community and has opened up a private space for DC Gaming Group members new and old to blow off some steam with some Switch Arcade games, board games, and great food and drink.
Players of all interests and experience levels are welcome! This happy hour is a space for gamers who are interested in meeting new nerds, learning new games, and who value people over points.
We will have a variety of games including classics like Card Against Humanity and Mario Kart plus whatever new arcade and board games y’all bring ;-)

Nerd Nite Out: NoMa Edition
Looking for a fun way to meet your fellow DMV geeks outside of game nights and conventions? Well come join us on May 8th for our next Nerds Night Out event with our friends over at DC Gaming Group! Nerd Nite Out is bar crawl that brings together geeky folks in a casual setting. Each bar crawl we will explore a couple of bars (all within walking distance from each other) in a different neighborhood. Whether you’re new to the city or someone who has been here for a few years, this is the perfect event to make some new friends (or catch up with old ones!) Our next Nerds Night Out will take place on May 8th at 7PM ET and start at Metrobar in the NoMa area!

Board games at The Forge
The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~20 per person. Soft drink refills are 1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group!
The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play.
Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes.
We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area.
Parking can sometimes fill esrly. There is additional parking lot behind the neighboring Mexican restaurant that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.

This faculty-juried show features select work from CCAD students of all class years, and is a can’t-miss end-of-year campus celebration recognizing their tremendous achievements.
It’ll be a night of fun and entertainment, with interactive games, animation and film screenings, art symposiums, poetry and prose readings, and more (along with some of the best local food trucks). *Chroma* is free and open to all.

Open-Table RPG Meetup!
Try new games, meet new people, and find out what story games are all about!
Explore the reaches of space! Witness kingdoms rise and fall! Create and explore tragedies! All within a single game night.
We play story games like Fiasco, Kingdom, Polaris and Microscope that encourage everyone at the table to participate creatively. We also have one-shots of indie, OSR, and narrative-focused RPGs such as Apocalypse World, Dread, Lady Blackbird, and Old School Essentials!
Everybody's welcome! It doesn't matter if you've never tried story games before or never played roleplaying games at all! Just bring your brain and a good attitude and come try it out!

* When you arrive look for the marked Story Games Columbus Tables. Each table will have a separate game. Seating is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
* If all tables are full, look for a Facilitator. We will find a way to get you into a game!
