Rouge Nat'l Park: Woodland Trail
Our group will leave at the posted time, so please arrive early. Please cancel your RSVP if you can't make it.
For those carpooling, please do not mark your passengers as +1s (since I'm adding based on the "vehicles" in attendance, not hikers). Just ensure that they're aware of and agree to SFH rules and regulations. Everyone will start on the waitlist, and some will be moved to the going list on Thursday (preference will be given to those that regularly enjoy hikes lead by me).
How fast, how far? Assume 4.5 km/h for a distance of 6.75 km. Terrain is mostly flat, but it does have a small hill or two. So we'll replace the difficulty of climbing with speed. The route is a "there and back again", so we will finish where we originally start from.
Bring water and wear good hiking/trail shoes or boots.

Badminton Enthusiast
This group is for badminton enthusiasts who are passionate about exploring the connections between metabolism, energy, and exercise. We are welcome beginner plus, intermediate and advance level players looking to improve your skill or a seasoned player seeking to optimize your performance on the court, this group is for you! Join us for friendly games. This badminton session is a weekly event and it is followed with dinner together but it is optional. Since we have 3 courts and allowed the maximum of 24 players so that everyone signs up for this event will be placed on waiting list FIRST then will be moved to the joining list.
Court fee: It will be informed at the comment section by 4pm. Cost per person is $162 divided by the number of players attended. My email address will be provided at that time for etransfer.

Come in and get lost in the PATH (12 km)

Escape the Canadian winter by ducking into the PATH. One of the longest underground retail spaces in the world, the PATH is great for indoor walks, if you don't mind getting disoriented in its maze.
This hike covers all major paths in the PATH and almost all minor ones. It's completely indoors, so there's no need for winter gear. The route is filled with sights as it goes through malls, office buildings, sporting venues, municipal buildings, theatres, and more.
Unfortunately for foodies, there isn't a lot of great food inside the PATH. And most businesses are closed on weekends and at night. Nevertheless, we'll highlight the best of the lot so that you know where to go to the next time you find yourself underground.

**How it works**
Hike starts punctually. Late or can't do the whole route? Meet us at scheduled checkpoints.
We'll browse many food places but won't linger long. See the route in advance, organize takeout, then pickup along the way.
Not sure what to try? Join our omakase for $5, which gives a sample from different restaurants. Payment on the day of event by cash or e-transfer to globaltorontoeats@gmail.com. No refunds after orders are placed. Details of sampled food will be uploaded after the hike.
Limited cutlery provided. Highly recommended to bring cutlery and containers for omakase and bringing back leftovers.
If you can't keep up and get lost in the PATH, we'll probably never see you again. See our [About section](https://www.meetup.com/hike-to-eat/) to understand why we don't wait for people going below the target speed and what else to expect.
**Attendance policy**
Please check in with an organizer when you attend. 24 hours before the hike, we'll check who is on the confirmed list. Those that don't show up will be flagged. Repeat offenders will be banned. Please change your RSVP if you can no longer attend.
If you made it off the waitlist less than 24 hours before the event, you won't be considered a no-show.

Hi ladies. We will meet in front of the Nature Center and head to the two Observation decks. We will then hike Hickory Ridge, Ripple Rock, Overlook and Sugarbush trails to get approximately four miles total distance. We will walk approximately a 18 minute mile pace. Please wear appropriate hiking shoes.
Hike Bexley
Meet at Wolfe Park parking lot by tennis courts. We willl walk along Alum Creek trail, through Jeffrey Mansion Park then along Bexley neighborhood and back.

We willl be doing a loop and I’ll ask one of the faster walkers to lead in the front and I’ll bring up the rear at a slower pace - 3.25 to 3.5 mph or slower! No one left behind!
Losing Weight in Columbus - Lets try climbing!
Join us at Losing Weight in Columbus at Bloc Garten on a Saturday afternoon.
This will be an active and engaging day, in lieu of our weekly check in. Why climbing you may ask? Because that's what I know best, and also since its and indoor sport, its great for a winter time hobby!
Join us and find out what it's all about! We'll also do a brief check in to see how everyone is doing.
